I wish you could see which tasks are coming up in the near future, so if you had 15 minutes to spare one day you could focus on those tasks without scrolling through each room. It would be good if you could ‘assign’ a task to a family member if they aren’t good at checking, so they get a specific notification. Also it would be good if you could see an overview of say a month when you set the tasks up so that you don’t end up with a few days with heaps of tasks to do. It’s not very slick in that respect. Adding one off jobs would be good too as they arise. It does work though in making sure I clean everything. But for a charging app I just expected more.

Love this app. Instead of feeling overwhelmed about cleaning, this app can make cleaning in daily small chunks satisfying. I had more than 10 cleaning tasks that I wanted to list so I did end up paying the one off fee. I really like how you can set frequencies for things (daily/weekly or monthly) and set up those jobs that I don’t do very often - like clean the cooker hood filter, cutlery drawer and the top of the kitchen units (which I never got round to). One thing as mentioned in other posts I would like to be able to edit frequencies and see what’s coming up on one page. For those times that I do have time on my hands and can tick off more than my to do list. It’s lovely getting the message “you are all done - put your feet up” when the tasks are completed.

Great concept, but you can only create 10 tasks for free - wish apps would make the paywalls clearer before going through downloading and setting things up.

The option to change how often you want to clean something doesn’t work. You have to delete and add the task again.

A good simple design and structure makes this easy to use and helpful for keeping on top of all those recurring tasks. One feature suggestion that may have got it a fifth star from me would be the ability to add a few extra days to a task if I’m away and so the cleaning is not needed. For instance if I have it set to remind me to change be linen once a week but I’m away and not using the bed for five days it would be helpful to push the deadline back five days too.

So at first when I looked for an app to help plan the house cleaning I was not sure entirely what to expect. After some time searching around and trying other apps (which turned out to be a huge let down) I came across Spotless. The app is so simple to use and perfect for organising your tasks in and around the home. Helpful custom reminders give you a notification that you have outstanding tasks to complete, a to do list is populated in line with your cleaning rota so cleaning the house doesn’t seem that much of a large task. This is by far one of the best apps I’ve used and I will continue to do so for as long as the developer is around! One final note, the customer service is outstanding! Like any app you may run into a hitch from time to time, one difference between other developers and Reach HPI is that they actually provide helpful solutions and they communicate very well to get you up and running in no time! Pros: Good for organising recurring tasks Very simple (not overwhelming to use) Ticking off chores is really simple Cons/suggestions: Would like one off tasks. When you type in the title of the task it doesn’t automatically capitalise the first letter for some reason. Would like to be able to customise the list of jobs.

This, along with my calendar, is one of my valuable apps. The only improvement I’d like would be a button to enable me share the information with another person’s phone (even for just 1h) and synchronise changes immediately. Doing the housework with another person or a small group is much more fun!

I was loving it and even payed the one off price, until i noticed when i went to tick/check things off the list it wouldnt let me at all. Cant swipe cant tick. Waste of money!
