Amazing Program!
Back in early March of this year, I woke up with a debilitating knee injury. I had severe pain and weakness every time I put weight on it. It severely impacted my work as a Certified Feline Master Groomer. I would struggle through my days at my salon with every cat groom when I didn’t have that issue before! After going to a doctor, I was told that it was just a really bad knee sprain, and that it would take about 6 or so weeks to heal. Well, it wasn’t healing anywhere close to within that time frame, and it was also migrating into my hip and ribs… so I started doing research. I discovered that I was very likely have Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder due to my personal health history and family health history. Because of this, it would likely take me a lot longer to heal with a high risk of re-injury due to my loose joints. I knew I needed to strengthen all of my joints to reduce the risk of future injuries, but I did not know how. YouTube wasn’t much help as the information I was receiving was very inconsistent and conflicting. That is when I discovered the Whealth Hypermobility Program near the end of May! I had been very hesitant about working out for several years due to being nervous about injuring myself because of my weird joints. Every time I tried to start working out in the past, I would experience pain and inflammation flare ups… probably due to the stress and fear surrounding movement. The Whealth Hypermobility Program is different. It is a very thorough program that guides you through how to start working out safely. They walk you through the movements, mindset, diet considerations, and what to expect in such a way that is easy to understand. The community is very supportive and friendly, and is such a great help for those who may be struggling! I love the positivity of this group of people… which is such a refreshing change from the doom spiral of other Hypermobility and EDS groups. I started out at the beginning of March not being able to walk without severe pain. I can now walk/jog a mile at a time, and I can get through my work days a lot easier! I can feel that I am strengthening my whole body, which is an incredible feeling! As an extra perk that I wasn’t expecting - my shoulders that have been super unstable and “sloshy” since I was a baby have now become a lot more stable. I never crawled when I was a baby because they were so loose. My shoulders used to partially subluxate nearly every time I would swing my arms while walking. N
