SpriteBox Coding FAQ
Is SpriteBox Coding free?
SpriteBox Coding is not free (it costs 29.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is SpriteBox Coding legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
OMG this is heavan for adults like me outfits are so cute idk why they're not in every store right now the music is better than mickey mouse bro but one thing WHY CANT I KILL MY AVATAR BY WALKING HER INTO THE LAVA SHE IS SOOOOOOO DISIPOINTED AND CAN'T WALK INTO CACTI EITHER
Great!
I had previously bought the great LightBot games for myself and my 5 year old. This adventure game builds on LightBot’s nice introduction of nested functions. I hope there will be more future SpriteBox games. Teachers would be wise to pull these games into their introductory curriculum of coding.
Educational and Amusing Altogether
I believe this app is normally paid, but when it was temporarily made free by the developer, I downloaded the game. As an adult, I've heard of coding, but I never had any idea of what it was or how to do it before playing this game.
The game has a low age minimum recommendation for gameplay, so I thought it would be fun to try out for myself. After finishing the game, I can say that I really enjoyed playing it! It was a valuable learning experience, and this app taught coding very well without taking away from the gaming experience.
The graphics are cute and kid-friendly, the mechanics are intuitive, and the instructions are clear and straightforward. Even though I'm not a child, it actually took me some thinking to get through certain levels as the game progressed, which support game's educational merit. This worthwhile app made me think critically and use deductive reasoning to logically solve puzzles that challenged me enough to complete each level without unreasonable difficulty.
The incorporated storyline makes the game feel more casual and subtly academic than a school lesson, which makes learning about coding much more enjoyable!
TL;DR: This child-friendly game teaches basic coding to people who want to experience how to code in an fun way.
P.S. The music is very exquisite and well-written for a kid's game! It is apparent that much thought and scrutiny was put into creating the aesthetic nuances of this amazing game, from designing adorable characters to making beautiful levels.
A great learning tool
It’s a great game to understand the logic behind coding. It’s a puzzle that you need to break into smaller parts to be able to understand but once you do, it is so much fun.
Stuck??
Can’t get past a certain level, no help, no hints, no explanation what you are doing wrong, you just have to start over to the same end.
?
I am very happy about this app, but i only started yesterday and im on the last world. I really would like more worlds and more coding puzzles
Fun but crashes constantly
Like the title says, this is a fun game, but it crashes constantly.
Some of the other reviews say that this is good for five year-olds, but I'd say it's more appropriate for teenagers.
Incredibly well done
This app was able to help my five-year-old understand the basics of coding through a fun and engaging environment.
Awesome balance of fun and learning
This is a fun and engaging introduction for someone you want to get interested in coding or someone who has an interest but doesn't know anything.
