SQL Server / MSSQL by SQLPro Reviews

Great concept but the auto complete smothers it

Fundamentally I really like the product but only on smaller Databases. When there is a large database the autocomplete function totally drags this app down to the point where its not usable.

License change - no support

Endhcirj on

United States

I use this app intermittently to do quick checks on DB issues when I don’t have my laptop. I may go weeks or months without needing it, but I have the subscription auto-renew. At some point, the developer changed the subscription/license model with out notice! They continued to collect my license renewal fee under the old plan, but I can no longer use the App without a Key ( that I was never sent). There is no way I can find to contact anyone about this. I sent an email regarding the issue to both sales and support @ the devs main web address. Email did not bounce, no reply in months…

Works but VERY clumsy with predictive punctuation

pmaddo908 on

United States

It works- gets you a SQL client but its got a twitchy predictive punctuation algo that keeps putting in periods when they aren’t wanted.

Amazing app

Worth every dime I paid for it. Easy usability and all the tools I need to monitor incoming data in a pinch.

Can’t use without signing up for a subscription

Leiterfluid on

United States

Requires you to first sign up for a subscription before you can use any features. Sure, you get a week free, but at that point, they already have your data.

Pretty good app, but it makes me wonder…

C-EFT on

United States

…how it saves configuration data across app and data deletion? Turned off iCloud access, deleted app and data, and verified that no iCloud usage is shown for the app. (Why iCloud access was allowed in the first place is also a little strange) Downloaded the app again and the old configuration data was back anyway, though, interestingly not the blocking of iCloud access!? Perhaps I did something wrong but before I don’t understand what is going on I am probably not going to subscribe to it. Too bad as it does what I need. Thanks in advance for any explanation.

Great tool - cripple ware

Datamanlv on

United States

The tool is crippled for query results. Developer wants 5$ a month for access. Application does not state that in app purchase is required.

Have on computer but want to connect to phone for mobility

Gamefreak0115 on

Hello, I love databases and I am even taking an advanced sql server class I have tried and succeeded in creating multiple databases but my phone won’t connect to it I have all info needed but it is confusing which parts need to be used and what is left out, I already have a database to connect it to by sql server authentication and a login user with password but it goes from red to orange but never to green and I want to use it and I paid the one time payment of 149.99$ to them but I don’t know how to connect to my sql server on my phone and I need some help is there someone who could help me to figure it out

Wow!

LukePugliese2012 on

United States

Wow.... I used this free version for 60 seconds and knew it was well with the 150 one time fee to use for so many projects to come. You can literally execute procs, alter views, export the results to csv and even text the results all from within the app. Works perfect with my SQL server at home and azure. Well done gang!! 5 star!!

One star for lack of basic functionality

Apokalips on

United States

If you’re going to offer a free download with in app purchase, don’t lock query results behind the purchase. That is the most basic feature of a SQL app. And they happily let you TYPE the query (which is a pain on a small screen and keyboard) and RUN the query (which could take a while) but then lock the actual results. Just make it a paid app. I’m sure it’s worth the price, but I’m so annoyed by the tactic that I won’t even bother with this app.
