does not seem to work on the iPad pro OK... ‘I’ve been wrestling with this thing for 4 hours, and it does nothing. the lines go up and down when I play, but the result is ... nothing. I’m not impressed. as it stands, in a couple of days if I don’t get some action I’m going to write a review on FB. DON’T LET THAT HAPPEN.

Great!

Oh how I wish that I could also have this in a hardware stomp box format!

selective distortion rocks!

I am a big fan of this one. Multi-band effects provide an antidote to the flattening of the sound that most FX processors are ultimately guilty of, particularly distortion. Now I can let forth a low, dirty rumble and keep the highs clean or tear up the highs over the smoothest low undertones. Nice to be able stir the waters without making them too muddy.

Unique distortion effect - works great on iPad2 after 1.01 update!

This is an updated review - I upgraded my score from 2 stars to 5 stars because the original version of the app did not function at all on iPad2 - the developer fixed this in the 1.01 update and it now functions beautifully! SquashIt is a unique, simple, and affordable distortion effect for the IAA effects slot. It does not have AudioBus FX compatability yet, which is a small drawback. However, the line between AB and IAA is becoming more and more blurred, and you can use SquashIt with AudioBus if you have AudioShare (AB input -> AudioShare; Set AudioBus as an input within AudioShare and set up IAA effects). The signature feature of SquashIt is the multi-band EQ adjustments. You can distort the low, mid, or high frequencies, and change the width of the band you are controlling. It looks simple, and it is simple to operate, but you can actually get an amazing variety of sounds just by messing with those parameters. The sound can be subtle (almost like a fuzz), to borderline destroyed on the higher settings. The best thing about it is that they have input and output controls so you can add saturation while taming volume - this is an area where many distortion effects fall short. I've heard a lot a lot of "bitcrushers" before, and this isn't really that. It's kind of its own thing, and I dig it. Works with synths and drum loops, but I had a live guitar signal hooked up with AudioBus (via AudioShare) and it sounded pretty awesome with virtually no latency. Not like any guitar pedal I'd ever played before!

Works fine for me

No problem using with AudioShare here. Well worth $.99. Sounds great!

Won't load with IAA

Tried getting this to launch with AudioShare and GarageBand in the effects slot. Won't stay in the chain nor launch from the host app. Totally useless until this is fixed. Hope it's soon.
