Sailing today
Been with since the first issue. Great magazine. Customer service and marketing / loyalty to its long standing customers, very poor. Would be a good idea to have a search facility for all magazines

I had really hoped that this would be a good way of me having less paper on the boat - alas, it is slow (even over a 50meg line), and the updates do not happen automatically, like some of the other mags that I get. This does not detract from the quality of the mag itself, this is just a reflection on the app delivery mechanism.
I think that since the format of the magazine has changed it is not as good.
A good way to receive and carry your Sailing Today magazines around with you. Generally quite a stable programme now, although it has had it's moments in the past.
The best of the UK sailing magazines, despite the sometimes offhand humor of the editor. Not so impressed with the app though? Regularly needs a reboot when the download fails..
I've been reading Sailing Today for some time now and I'm always impressed by the range and usefulness of the articles. Keeps you up to speed with the boating world, new gear and new locations as well as helping improve your technical knowledge by many handy articles on "how to....". A fantastic read for any sailor at any level - keep up the great work.
Inhave to agree with other reviewers. Totally prehistoric in style and format, doesnt download properly and crashes. I woukdnt riskmsubscribing.
Absolutely brilliant. I love the magazine and reading it on my iPad and my iPhone at any time whether commuting or relaxing, a fantastic read and very clever use if multimedia advertising and gripping editorial. Definitely recommend
I use my iPad to read a lot of eBooks, but this app does not allow to magnify the text that results in a clear image. What you get is blurred and pixilated. In this day and age this is just not acceptable. In short:- save yourself £2.00 and find something else.
I feel rather bad not giving this 5 stars, the developers clearly have put a lot of work in to try and produce a slick interface. Unfortunately, the result does not work how I as a user find particularly comfortable. Here are my key gripes: 1. Every page is scanned as an image. This means it took so long to download an issue it would have been quicker to walk to a newsagent and have bought a copy. 2. The wait to download is made worse by the fact you cannot start reading until the issue is downloaded in full. 3. Another result of every page being scanned as an image is that all the text looks fuzzy. 4. The contents section was completely blank. Evidently a bug. 5. It is really hard to navigate through the magazine. There is no way to see how far through the magazine you are. You can only see the present page number, but not how many pages in total there are. Also as far as I can tell, there is no way to skip to a particular page number. There also seems to be no way to jump back to the front page other than to skip back through all the pages
