How much does Standard Notes cost?
Standard Notes has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 299.99 лв..
I tried many note taking apps, and this is the best APP from any part of view. Privacy, no tracking, user friendly, works on any OS and any device. Good, reliable and stable synchronization. No other app can beat all this.
I tried it on Android, iOS and Windows and works just like charm!
Feels great to have privacy
Great app
Paid User Got Screwed
I’ve been a paid Premium user for 5 years. Most of my notes were formatted with “Super”.
As soon as my subscription ended - after 5 years mind you- all my notes became a mess of html codes with the needed data buried somewhere in between.
Unless I pay again I can’t use my notes anymore.
Or I have to painstakingly go through each of them and fish out the data I need and paste into a new plain text note. We’re talking about many thousands of lines though.
Standard Notes was fabulous and virtually all my passwords and other sensitive data is with SN.
Now I regret that because of the stupid formatting thing.
With Proton Mail buying SN I was hoping to see some improvements, including a way to revert Super-formatted notes to gracefully go to Plain Text. So far this hasn’t happened.
Secondarily, the main reason for SN really is the end to end encryption, and cross platform syncing.
Beyond that, it’s actually a bit of a mess. Numerous formatting options that are pretty basic and often superfluous (why have 5 Markdown options?)
There is no easy way to send myself or third parties notes to their email addresses or Telegram, etc.
Disappointing how a paid long term user now has to look for alternatives.
Good but..
It’s really good but you can’t copy and paste easily it takes forever to do it…
Excellent notes app
I have been using Standard Notes for a few years. The end-to-end security brought me to it, the fantastic app and capabilities keep me using it. A simply amazing tool to keep your notes and life organized.
The app is lightweight and fast. In a world filled with 500+MB app sizes that store hundred of more MB on our devices, this one is less than 100MB overall. It is a testament to lean and efficient coding, something missing in software these days.
The sync between the mobile and web view (or Windows app if you prefer) is fast and generally works well. There are occasional syncing duplicates, which the app helps reconcile pretty well. You can view notes offline (no network) and updates sync when you’re reconnected.
App is unusable
Unable to generate keys for valid email/password. App is unusable.
Excellent User Interface
This is one of my favorite apps, and I love how polished the user interface is. I can stay organized, share notes across platforms, and know that I’ll always have what I need. It is the perfect notes app for Windows, and an excellent substitute for the iPhone notes app.
Theme doesn’t save
When changing the theme in the app, it doesn’t save. Closing the app and then opening it again it goes back to the default white theme.
I wish this app worked
“Action Bar” takes the entire length and width of screen when you try to type anything, rendering the app unusable.
Action Bar, whatever that is supposed to do, always has nothing in it or message “failed to load” on my android Note 10+
Kind of ridiculous.
Can you get rid of the Action Bar or make an option to toggle it off?
Best Notes App
I’ve been using Standard Notes since it was first released. It has been extremely easy to use and the syncing actually works between clients. It’s secure with end to end encryption, proven with years of active development, and strong community with community plugins. I only trust Standard Notes for all note taking needs.
