How much does Star Walk 2 Plus cost?
Star Walk 2 Plus has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is $4.49.
I wanted to use this for 10 seconds to check where sunrise would be in case a building would block my sightline. I thought I could watch one ad and be done. It was 60 seconds long and then when I finally could skip, it showed me another, with a fast forward button and took me to the ads app modal page, which I closed, then an in-app ad after that.
I thought that was it, but when the time selector option I used to use in Star Walk wasn’t in the main interface, I went into the settings page for a moment, then when I exited it started the whole ad process again which was another 60 seconds for the exact same ad.
I would probably have just paid for this app if an ad-supported version didn’t exist, but considering I only needed it for a moment and an ad-supported version did exist, I chose not to. Now I’m left so frustrated that I uninstalled it, and I still have no idea where the sunrise will be. Either this ad loop is a bug or it’s so intrusive that there’s no to point to the app.
Edit:
If the length of ads is outside of developer’s control, surely the frequency
and triggers are within your control. After redownloading the app and trying again, I was hit with 2 minutes and 20 seconds of ads, had control of the app for less than one minute before being hit with another one. This is not enough time to figure out what controls to use, or to decide on the quality of the app to even decide if it’s worth the purchase. I wouldn’t consider using it in the ad-supported state either.
Surely this isn’t intended behaviour? I can send a screen recording if it would be helpful.
Pretty much useless
This app was pretty good a couple years ago. Now it’s functionality is reduced to pretty much zero by the pervasive, lengthy, and frequent ads for juvenile games.
The utility for celestial identification and ease of use has diminished and the frequent children’s ads make this a waste of time.
My advice is to scroll past this one.

Incorrect directions showing
I see the moon towards west but the app simulation showing the moon is at south which is completely wrong and misleading . Moon is just an example rest all the planets and objects are no where in the location suggested by app even though compass is calibrated correctly it’s showing wrong directions
Backwards/WASTE OF MONEY
Pointed directly at the Sun. Says the sun is directly behind me. Epic fail. Last time I connected with your support, I didn’t get treated with respect by your support. So no thanks. Constantly manually resetting calibration.

Les contrôles dans l'écran en haut à gauche et haut droite fonctionnent très mal. C'est contre-intuitif pour trouver les fonctions et en touchant l'écran, ces contrôles changent sans qu'on le souhaite, et alors, impossible de retrouver ce qu'on avait. De plus, assez régulièrement, l'application perd la référence de la boussole et impossible de reconnecter cette fonction sans quitter l'application et la redémarrer.
