Hard to create an account
This MyPlate app needs lots of work! Other wellness apps like MyFitnessPal offer much more specificity on curating meal plans, calorie tracking, and activity levels. So why use the MyPlate app? It's number 1 benefit for nutrition practitioners is the ability to quickly provide daily food group recommendations for all ages at any time. Consider the parents who aren't sure how much food to give their 1 year old, the patient you just saw who can't name 5 different fruits or veggies, even consider yourself - do you know your own food group recommendations? Consider downloading the app and leaving a comment on their app page, we as RD's must play a role in the advocacy of our health technology that our tax dollars fund
I’m scratching my head trying to figure out the point of this app. Literally only want to track daily calories but there doesn’t seem to be a free app for that
Setting up the account was super annoying. Why bother with the app if it keeps redirecting me to the website? And why doesn’t the daily calorie meal plan from the website appear in the app? The app doesn’t take any of that into consideration. It’s kind of pointless.
3 stars: 2 star for calculating how much one needs and 1 for recipes. Disappointing that it’s so difficult to find how to keep track of daily intake.
Circular app. I keep putting in info but I don’t get portions of individual food groups . It’s not working correctly
Way intrusive. Tracks web browsing. See privacy info inside the app.
I registered a new account with login.gov only to be told. I have to link it to an existing E authentication account. However, when I try to create an authentication account, it sends me back to login.gov. I have yet access the app because of the situation.
Can’t even get into the site unless I use ‘guest’…😡
