Most of the time when I open the app, it has a blank screen. I’ve tried closing the app and reopening it and restarting my phone. It’s always a delight when the app actually shows anything besides “Patterns” at the top simply because it happens so rarely.
Wish this app worked because I like to browse patterns.
Latest App Update
Can’t view my projects or library. None of my favorites projects appear, or quede items, friends, and my stash. I had updated my username and it is not registering the updated username. When I type in the search engine it was not clear that in order to get out I had to press cancel, this needs to be made more obvious. I thought I was stuck in the typing mode. Would love to have cancel appear more noticeable, as a button perhaps or a more noticeable color. So far the only thing that works on the app is the forum… The yarn shop feature, if I type in a city, shows me everything I would get on google maps. it does not show me any yarn stores in the city or around me. A feature i really liked on the old version that I don’t seem to have here is looking up a project and using filters to refine my search. I’m also not able to have the option to save a patter to favorites or library. I just subscribed for the year thinking the app would work if I did, and now I’m just very disappointed in the money I lost. I hope this is just a test run and things will be fixed.
I don’t like this compared to the original.
This is so less useful. I had to download a different app because this one just doesn’t perform a search well, pulled up items i didn’t want, can’t be sorted, and is just not user friendly. I’d rather log onto the ravelry website from my cell phone browser then use this app.
Disappointed
Every time I open the chat forum, the app closes itself. The pattern search does not work well and freezes to where I have to close the app, reopen it, and try my search again. Longtime Rav user but very disappointed in the app.
Better off using Ravelry online
App is glitchy with searches, and you still have to go to the website to download or view any patterns. Not what I was expecting. I can view my yarn stash, but cannot update it.
Never shows patterns
I have been disappointed with this version. When going to app all you see is a green screen. When you type a search in the window it does nothing. I can barely give it a one star.
Disappointed
I had the old app which was useful on the go. On this one I cannot find my library which to me was one of the best features. Deleted.
Needs Work
This app barely has any features and hardly does anything useful. Needs work and more features like what’s on the actual website. Speaking of which if I want to do something specific I have to go on the website bc I can’t do it on the app
Ok for to-go browsing, but not too much
I prefer to use the website on the phone more than this app. At least I can connect to my projects and add photos through my phone, then I can edit more information on the computer. You can search for patterns and save them to your library. But it still gets glitchy.
