It blocked my messages and I couldn’t open the app even when I had it deleted

I want to use this app but it’s full of bugs. I am on iphone 11, most recent ios version and when trying to make the selection of apps to block within a profile it keeps crashing/freezing or showing a blank page. It’s very frustrating.

I think this app is an amazing idea but why can’t at least some features be free? Technology addiction is so damaging and it’s so selfish of ever person who’s worked on and supported this app to monetize that addiction. It’s a good idea, and I understand production costs completely, but why can’t the basic features be free? All I want is to block a website permanently.

There are many ways to approach this app, it has multiple levels of control and techniques to achieve your goals with reducing screen time. Here’s what I like: •The schedule function is great for blocking off work, lunch, breaks etc. at your job. •The expiration setting + Strict Mode is great way to brick your phone for a good chunk of time, it even allows you to prevent app install/uninstalling so you don’t cheat. • The app selection feature makes is SO EASY to choose all the apps you want to block. No cumbersome workflow - chose the app, set the method on blocking, and boom. Done. The thing I wanted from an app like this is to have no way of making changes once the decision is made, so I am forced to leave my phone and be productive. This is why Strict Mode has been a lifesaver for me, I want to have zero ways of opening the apps with no workarounds and that’s exactly what it does. IMO, this app is worth the couple of bucks a month and in the week and a half since buying this I have used it every single day to focus on work, my personal goals, and even things like chores. When I have no distraction to keep delaying action, the work gets done faster and I don’t end up in a decisions/anxiety loop. It allows for more time for me to do as I wish or even better, block off time to work on low dopamine personal things (drawing, organizing, journaling, etc). I was not paid to say any of this, I rarely leave reviews, all I can say is that this was the type of app I’ve been looking for and it has helped me a lot. I am chronically on my phone and it feels like a breath of fresh air to have control over it. I have already seen the results of using it, it has lowered anxiety/decision paralysis and just for that alone I will continue to use it.

The extra couple steps it’s takes to defeat it after I activate it is enough for me to leave my phone alone when it’s time. So for me it works.

android and apple versions are vastly different. you can't do anything with the apple version

[skip this app, buy something else] Hello, Often i’m able to enter the app without passcode, and access to app is password protected. This happens on my & my wife’s phone. There is no obvious pattern when/how this happens, so i can’t give more specific info. For paid version of the app I would expect that minimum of promised functionalities actually works. OS: iOS 18.0.1 Latest version of app.

In strict mode, i am able to change the mode to normal. Also able to click on profile and edit it on 2nd try. There is a time to block running alongside which clashes but it still should honor the strict mode and not allow edits. Bought a subscription but disappointed
