Please read the reviews here and do not buy the Mr. Steam STEAMLINX Wireless Connectivity Module. For how expensive it is I should expect a simple IoT connected app to work seamlessly when turning on the Steam generation. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The app will not work 99 times out of 100 and when it does, the manual control is disabled preventing you from overriding the app. I honestly cannot believe how terrible this app and hardware are. I’m disconnecting it after 6 months of trying to get it to work and giving up. Mr. Steam should be ashamed of even having this product out there any more.

Can never get the app to connect. Is an update ever going to be released?

I spent a small fortune on this steam system, sold on the fact I could control it with my iPhone. It needs to be redone. My hope is that only the app was poorly made and the hardware is fine. Fingers crossed.

I don’t know how much more needs to be said but this app functions as though a third grader designed it. Frequently unresponsive. When you hit the power button, there’s no way to discern that it has registered as the button doesn’t light up or the screen change in any capacity. These are just a couple examples but it really doesn’t need much to be effective- they just clearly don’t care enough o improve upon their software.

This app is horrible. It doesn't even open when I sign in. No clue on how to even go about fix this. Spend all the money on the steam shower and this app is useless.

So I purchased a highly priced steamer and come to find out after using the software application it’s poorly designed. Actually, when using the application if you’re able to connect it, it either freezes or disconnects. It obvious that there was minimal attention on designing a product that functions simply and has control of the many features like Bluetooth to your phone. Nonetheless, the application is horrible to use and Webster dictionary describes the application as awful cheap dreadful inferior lousy poor terrible.

This app has worked once in the three months the system has been active. It shows connected but nothing works. I always have to go through the console to start the steamer. If you really need or want app control find another system.

I agree 110% with all the other one star reviews. Don’t waste your money getting WiFi connection for your steam machine. The app rarely ever works and it easier to manually turn on the system from the steam room.

Who wrote this software? A 2 year old ? Like other reviewers said the app is awful. Haz zero functionality. It glitches all the time and freezes while the unit is on. Furthermore, why are some of the keys greyed out when the unit is on. Zero stars. Fix it.

What everyone else said. The steamer itself works great, but this app is useless. Absurd amount of lag time. The whole point of an app is to have a remote control so you can turn it ON before you go to use it. This app doesn’t do that: touch the On/Off icon and nothing happens. Nothing. Once you turn the steamer on at the main control, in the shower, it shows you the temp and time—which is pointless. Unless you want to bring your phone into the steam, which you don’t.
