This is an audio unit plugin that puts a small delay between the left and right channels.
Why would you want to do that? Here's why:
We recently saw a video interview of a very famous guitarist in which his guitar was delayed a few milliseconds in the right channel. It may have been caused by unusual microphone placement, or perhaps it was just an error on the part of the person who recorded the video. Whatever the reason for it, it sounded great. He was playing into a vintage amp with no other reverb or delay, but the sound had a wide stereo image that didn't sound electronic or artificial and didn't distort the natural sound of the amp. This is commonly known as Haas effect.
With most delay effects it's not so easy to get a precise, very small delay on just one channel, but this app does it with just one simple control.
In case you need to modulate the effect, this plugin smoothly transitions between different delay time settings, causing a pitch shift while the delay time is on the move toward its new setting.
This plugin is simple, so we are giving it away for free. Enjoy!

Stereo Lag Time FAQ
Is Stereo Lag Time free?
Yes, Stereo Lag Time is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Stereo Lag Time legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
Hello!
I love this plugin! But recently I’ve had issues with it. Every time I reopen the project (garageband for ios), the stereo lag plugin goes to off (like a reset) on every track I put it in. How can I fix it? I’m really sad cause I use this a lot, and my projects don’t sound the same after this problem happened.
Hope you guys can help me!
Thanks!
Amazing little free auv3 Delay lag too thicken vocals, guitar, bass, keys, etc.
I can’t understand why anyone would give this anything but a positive review? It does what it was designed to do, there is no misleading info, and it’s free!
This is a QUICK and easy trick to thicken up your vocal track, to expand your guitar solos above the other tracks, with one turn off one knob to the left or to the right! Simple, effective, free… 5 Stars! If you love sound production, then you are downloading now.
Minor and Simple but Very Effective
All it does is delay one side of a stereo track - but you’d be surprised how deep and developed this can make your otherwise flat-sounding tracks seem. Really glad I got this and am using it as needed. All it takes is a very slight delay for a major difference.
Wonderful App. Does as it says and makes great sounds sliding left or right
It puts a delay between channels. At a slight adjustment it makes everything instantly wider. More? It is so strong as a utility it makes cool sounds...
One patch and I’ll give five stars
this plugin improves my songs by quite a bit when it works, but it’s unreliable. First off, when the effect is in use on a track, it will randomly make this loud “blast of static” as another review called it, and then when a song with the effect is uploaded, that static makes a way into the actual upload. Like I said, when it works, this plugin sounds amazing, it just needs that one problem fixed and it’s perfect.
Crashes GarageBand
This plugin sounds pretty great, but I have to give it one star for now because it consistently crashes GarageBand on my iPad Pro.
does its job, but...
I’ve been using this plugin for a long time, however it has some pretty serious bugs in garageband. sometimes, there’s this big blast of loud static coming out of the plugin that always scares me when I start to play back my recording I made with it.
it even shows up in the audio when I export it. if this gets fixed, this plug will be absolutely perfect!
Wanted this from the beginning
A while ago someone posted about simple tweaks to liven up stereo recording tracks. That’s where I first saw the “delay or advance one track a few milliseconds” trick. When I started using iOS apps in music i was thrilled to see this app and that is was free. The interesting thing is that when I do this trick in audio recording it is no more than a 2 msec delay but in this app it requires a little bit more.
Whoa!
This is brilliant, this is the rack stack you didn’t know you needed.
