The options to subscribe available on Stereophile web site are NOT available on Apple store . Phoned Apple and Stereophile both saying it’s the other’s fault ... I think the Apple store is now miserable. Apple is going out of the market. Only option is to subscribe directly to the editor and forget about Apple. Steve is dead.
C’est malheureusement devenu une habitude en ce qui concerne les applications permettant de lire la presse. Soit la nouvelle application (la mise à jour) ne fonctionne plus (c’est le cas de Stereophile qui ne me permet plus de lire les numéros de ma bibliothèque) ou elle fonctionne moins bien (l’appui du Monde en est un bon exemple, qui ne permet plus de lire un article en plein écran.) Dans le cas de Stereophile, c’est vraiment du grand n’importe quoi. J’ai un abonnement par l’App Store, et je ne peux plus lire les magazines.
I enjoy reading about hi-fi equipment ,and the magazine is wonderful . The app with newsstand is occasionally problematic with subscription went started or when it's up. I would like older issues. It shouldn't be this difficult . I recently ordered two years subscription (56.00) , the problem or issues I have the digital issues for several years . I pay 2.99 a month again for several years . I do like the digital issues a lot ,but I’m missing several issues from 2023 . I told the company and they told me ,I must have ordered from the publisher. Thank you ,keep up the good work with the equipment information. RD
I can’t access any of the issues anymore even though I have a subscription. Just stopped. Truely annoying. … and their support… what a joke thru some third party. This is not worth the hassle. This is the same problem another user mentioned one year ago and still not resolved. Cancelled the subscription even though it runs thru 2025… bye bye Stereophile and I won’t ever do a subscription thru Apple… just a bunch of finger pointing.
I cancelled my subscription a few years ago because the app continued to forget that I had subscribed. I stupidly signed up again and now the same problem is happening. It does not recognize me as being subscribed even though the subscription shows up in m “subscriptons List”. Ahhhhhh. I hate this app!

Can’t read current issue. I was charged for it, and have tried restoring my purchases several times. App wants me to buy issue at full price.
I have been a subscriber to the digital edition of Stereophile for years. I love the magazine but this app is junk. Every 6 months or so it quits allowing me to download the latest issue which typically ends up with me having to send copies of my subscription receipts to prove I have a current subscription. Then I end up having to delete and reinstall the app which removes all of my older downloaded issues which then causes me to have to send in copies of older subscription receipts to prove I should have access to them. Well it’s happened again, my subscription just renewed in December 2022 and it’s not letting me download the February 2023 issue. Even the latest app update didn’t fix the issue. The magazine is good but not worth this frustration. At this point I am just canceling my subscription and saying goodbye to Stereophile.
I bought the magazine and digital subscription. Being unable to login with my email as directed, I reached out to customer support multiple times with no response. Wasted my time and my money… such a shame. This magazine picked the wrong app to represent their publication
The app now says “It will work” if you cancel your subscription and then resubscribe… but it does not. How incompetent can they be?!
