StitchPics Reviews

I just went PRO!

I have been using this app for probably over a year and it is no nonsense, not convoluted, does what it says and does it well. Even the ads are not bad at all so today I said , “This dev deserves my money!” If all apps were designed like this we wouldn’t be in the virtual hellscape we are today. Bravo to all involved! If I had one critique it would be the ability to drag and move images right before they get stitched. Sometimes I choose them out of order and this results in me having to cancel them all and choose them again from my photos on ios. UPDATE POST DEV REPLY: Thank you for letting me know! It seems this app does have everything I hoped for after all.

I cannot believe I haven’t reviewed this!

Honestly, I LOVE this app. It is truly the only app on my phone I actually enjoy using. No ads in the pro version, just works, and I love the “have a nice day :)” note!

Nice long screenshot stitcher

Love that it’s not a stupid subscription! There are parts where the UI is a bit weird to get used to from my older long screenshot app (it would use a slider to adjust crops between pages) but the old app didn’t get the iPadOS 16 updates and died. Stick with this one its cropping involves clicking then dragging a pic up/down to align with the previous page. I say the UX isn’t intuitive but once you drag a couple frames of a long screenshot to remove the top/bottom banners that sometime get left in, it’s pretty easy. The automatic webpage “scrollshot” in the paid version is nice on non-login sites, else you need to login again. In those cases I just do a bunch of screenshots, I’ve been doing screenshots for years to document numbers/settings/reminders of how to do things and it’s no big deal. Thanks

Great, when it actually works.

On a handful of occasions, something about the way I’ve taken the screenshots is juuuuust right and the app does its thing. But usually it has problems putting the images together correctly. You can manually adjust the image layout but it is not intuitive that you need to tap the little pencil icon. I forget that this is what needs to be done every time it fails to assemble the images correctly and have to spend like ten minutes frustratedly mashing the screen in every way I can think of before I stumble upon having pressed one of the pencil icons to “activate” it. This is not intuitive. Why can your app not consistently stitch together text with plenty of overlap? Black text, white background. Do better.

New update ruined app

new update made it so you can no longer manipulate two images at once. you now have to tap onto one specific image each time and then tap again to exit. there seems to be no setting to switch between how the app once performed and this newer slower mode

Legit

Even a few ads that are accompanying this are well worth what this app gives you. It is better than any of the others that I’ve experienced so far.

Excellent
