Looks like developers and support gave up on this app. It’s been months and there are tons of errors in tickers and other market variables. Unfortunate, used to love this thing.
I wish I could give this app a 5 star review. Problems are in the following areas: - App hasn’t been updated to include IPOs - Creating new games / portfolios is not intuitive and difficult - App doesn’t cache requests so if you lose internet connection while making a buy/sell, the app is useless - Missing an index where you can track others’ performance (see if you’re beating your friends)
Been two days and no one answers my emails. And there is not a darn thing I can do about it! If you need questions answered there is no one to help! I am so fed up with this darn app! What a shame! Had this app from the beginning and it has turned to crud! 😡😡🤬🤬😔
Great app. I use the app mostly to test stocks before I buy for real. It simulates the real market and gives me a better feel for how the stock trades as opposed to looking at a chart of past performance
I’m surprised this app isn’t rated higher. A lot of people saying it crashes, which is something that’s never happened to me. The one problem I have is sometimes after a day or 2 my pending orders will vanish and I’ll have to reset them. Not a big deal but should be fixed. One big suggestion I have would be to have the option to see the leaderboard in absolute dollar amounts instead of only percentages. Since I started a couple years after many of the other users, I know I’ll probably never make it to the top 50 of the “All time high” board. But it would be nice to have the chance to occasionally be on the charts for the daily, monthly, or yearly charts. The problem is that the current system rewards taking huge risks that may payoff big in the short run, but will most likely tank your portfolio in the long run. Most of the people who get on the daily leaderboard for instance have much less money in their portfolio than they began with, but happen to have a huge daily gain on a percentage basis. It’s not that impressive to me if your portfolio is up 10% for the day but your portfolio worth is 1/10th of what you started at. You’re basically penalized for having a balanced portfolio that grows at a steady rate. I would also maybe make a rule that you need to make at least one trade a year to stay on the leaderboard. You can tell from looking at most of the All Time High user profiles that most of them picked some stocks a few years ago and basically forgot about the game. It seems like it would be more fair to only include people who are actively using the app, as opposed to those who played around with it for a couple days and then forgot about it.
I would recommend this game to any one who is/wants to learn about the stock market because it uses all the aspects of real trading with none of the risks of losing real money. The one problem is that when you by a stock before or after hours, your trade opens at what the stock opens at, not what you bought it at.
I can’t add a picture. Is there anyway I can???
This is a great application. I have one suggestion; make the daily p&l user modifiable to lifetime p&l. Having the only a daily p&l on every screen promotes and rewards fast daily activity. a great many mistakes are made by traders focusing on daily traffic. Daily churn seems exciting but it is a bad and usually destructive habit. Having a lifetime P&L encourages long term investments and careful thought. Please make this an option
The overall format is intuitive to use and great as a learning tool. The greatest missing feature is the stats on all the securities--market cap, P/E, etc. This info is formatted into the app, but all the fields are blank
