Sure there’s a free trial period, but a subscription is required to use the app period. No free basic functions.

Buggy and mostly ignored by its developers.

I’m nearing the end of a year subscription. It has been a disappointing year with the app and I find myself using it less and less due to bugs and a lack of any improvements. The app has been buggy and unreliable. Examples: outright crashing, some symbols stop updating and show no data, the company info feature often returns “server error,” for some symbols the status tab returns erroneous info, some symbols will not even return a company name, in the news feature no news is returned for some large very well known companies. Beyond this over the years subscription the app has not had any new features nor even polishing of existing features. Its development is stagnant.

I like everything about this app. You can track your stocks and profit and losses. I especially like all the graphics and useful metrics and the automatic texting alerts This rocks!!

Where’s the News?

Mizzou1984 on

United States

News article for the stocks are non-existent or the most recent news article appearing is at least 90 to 120 days old. The consolidation of news article with the stock ticker symbol was the primary reason I bought the app.

Great Real Time Stock Tool

Watching my stocks/portfolios go up and down is dizzying, but glad I found this ap that lets me quickly see what’s going on. Love the circle graphs and news updates all in one place for a cheaper price than others I’ve tried…so far so good.

Easy Peasy

Pambie432 on

This app is really easy to use. I was able to set up my portfolios and alerts in minutes. Using several portfolios I was able to easily group my stocks in a lot of different ways. I also use the daily "Today's Winners" to find new stock ideas. Most of all I love the news. The articles from SeekingAlfa, CNBC, etc. make it easy for me to research stocks and give me good insight into the market. Great App!!

What I needed

REverett55 on

Been using for a few weeks and have abandoned the ‘free apps’ used before. Particularly like having a main portfolio and also being able to break down by segment as well as setting up a watch list.

Great app

I was looking for an app to easily track my stocks and came across this one...easy to use, love the charts and was happy that the developers responded quickly to a question I had in setting up my portfolios.

Love StockHop!

I love this App. Played with a few other apps, but ended up here as it’s really easy to use and I set up my portfolios and alerts fast! The mini charts really help me compare my stocks. The stock news is great, it’s up to date and goes back in time many days. Keep up the good work.
