I stumbled across this app when I typed in retro rpg’s. I saw comparisons to Zelda but I’ve been fooled by that before. But this game doesn’t disappoint. It’s a nice long game with so much to do. It comes as close to Zelda as any game I’ve found. The only con I can find with this game is that eventually I will reach the end. But good news- it has lots of replay value. Thanks for making such a truly wonderful game.
Could have really been great
A lot of the difficulties in this game don’t make it more fun - it just makes it unnecessarily frustrating.
Here’s 6 key points that would drastically make this (or the next) game better.
#1 - MAKE THE PORTALS ACTIVE INSTANTLY. Theres no enjoyment in finally being able to unlock a portal that you should’ve had access to ages ago. Not having these portals just makes for tons more unnecessary traveling.
#2 - NO MAGIC METER. Since magic is your ONLY weapon - you shouldn’t run out. It happens way too often and then you have to find more or wait for it to slowly refill. This just adds another layer of unnecessary frustration. (At least make the wind spell infinite)
#3 - COLLECTING AURAS IS IMPOSSIBLE. Collecting the aura of any enemy above a D grade is impossible on mobile. Now I wish I would’ve never started the museum side quest. Just make collecting auras instant when you find one - just finding the auras would be satisfying alone.
#4 - COMMON ENEMIES ARE TOO STRONG. The
birds and those freaking blue spiders are just unnecessarily annoying for no reason.
#5 - WARP US TO THE DUNGEON ENTRANCE AFTER BEATING THE BOSS. Having to walk back through the dungeon after beating the boss is so inconvenient and anticlimactic.
#6 - I DON’T CARE ABOUT THE STORY. It’s hard to care about the main character’s sick if we know NOTHING about him. How sick is he? What’s is his personality like? What is his relationship with the main character? Don’t know. Thus, we don’t care.
I just finished the cave of pain and I honed don’t know if I’m going to keep playing. It just hasn’t gotten any better. Everything just feels like such a drag to get through. And it’s just not rewarding enough for me to want to keep playing.
Improve on these mistakes and the next game could be really amazing.
And maybe come up with a slightly better name for the next one :)
Good luck 👍🏻

Retro rpg fans will love.
Imagine The Legend of Zelda with Earthbound like abilities.
Cost is actually $4
Fantastic game, but "free" is deceiving. The game actually requires an in game purchase to play more than just the intro dungeon.
An excellent action adventure in the style of classics
This game would be right at home among SNES classics, which is a huge compliment. It features a big awesome game world with new paths all over the place as you advance, Zelda style. It differentiates from Zelda by using new spells as you progress rather than weapons and gadgets. The game seems built really well, with good control and few glitches and well-designed everything. The experience is enhanced by a fun story and some really catchy music.
The game is awesome but not 100% pure joy. It seems like almost every new screen is filled with lots of bushes and a smattering of monsters. Eventually they kinda feel the same everywhere you go. Also, starting with the blue spiders this game has a lot of tough enemies that can put an end to a good run mighty quickly. But the difficulty can be managed by plentiful potions and learning some strategy. Keep your distance when you battle blue spiders. Finally, most of the humor is cool, but once in a while the writing may cross the line and become offensive to some (I never find it offensive but some might). I am mostly thinking of a few of the things the red witch says to the protagonist. All in all though this game is fantastic.
Finally!!!
I’m already 15 hours in and I feel like I’m playing Legend of Zelda but instead of sword and shield you use magic, I like the humor and story. Hopefully they will make another one, I love it!
Yay!
This game is incredibly fun and the dev team is quick to fix any problems that were happening!
Awesome Sauce!
This game is pretty awesome. In the beginning you do get a decent amount of play time before the demo is up. I had a pretty good time playing so I decided to go ahead and purchase it. The characters are great and the storyline is intriguing. It also has some pretty good humor too. The graphics remind me a lot of Pokémon gold, but with color instead and more dimension. It works really well though. One thing I don’t like is there are some parts that are confusing and does take some time to figure out. I wish there was a way to be able to get a few hints or something. Other than that I really enjoy the game and there’s side quests which is a plus!
