Streambox® Media Player is an HD/HDR player for IP video streams arriving from Streambox encoders or from the Streambox Cloud services. The Media Player is well suited for streams being pushed (routed to) or pulled from the Streambox Cloud Services. This media player is used by media content providers (e.g., news services) to remotely review live streams, and by post-production services for collaborative workflows with colorist, editors, and producers, and by media producers for on-site or on-location monitoring.

Crashed my computer
This app crashed my computer so many times. I could barely participate in an editing session
Professional image quality and features
Streambox Media Player is used by media industry professionals. It's the real deal.
Media Production Collaboration
I regularly use this media player for production collaboration. The image and color rendering is very good and allows our clients to review/collaborate from any remote location. For our clients who are not tech savvy the 1-click link sharing is very helpful.
For Editor and Colorist Collaboration
I have used the streambox media player for some time and this latest edition is the most stable with the widest range of color support. I have streamed to it with bitrates from 0.5 to 100Mbps. The trick is in the setup. When setup correctly, the color match to the original is very good. And I must admit, I love the one-click session sharing (that a host can provide their clients who use this media player). Lastly, some of the work I do requires high security and this media player decrypts encrypted video streams.
Crashing hard!
The app is constantly blocking and shutting down the system (MacBook Pro) Really frustrating.
