Be warned - the map you play on can “end” and everything you’ve done in the game gets erased and you start from scratch again. What’s the point of playing if everything gets erased? There’s no benefit to playing this game it’s just a waste of time!
The game is great, I love it, have loved the Stronghold games for the last 23 years. My only issue with this one is the card swapping. We should be getting more Card Points for swaps.
It’s a fun game to play, but stay away from buying any of their credits or upgrades I bought a one month upgrade and a week later the game ended on me and that was it for any of my purchased goods. Lost everything including access to my villages
Good bit of fun, especially if you are a history buff. I played the old Stronghold on PC before the Internet, on I Pad now . No complaints, thumbs up!
I loved the Stronghold games as a kid. Got into this, still continue to play it thorougly. My only gripe, which I hope the developers could see here - is the prices on your deals. When I buy deals, they’re less than $10. Not $100. Never in a game have I seen the marketing take such a 180, but that is honestly my ONLY gripe. Gives me nostalgia every time I open the game.

Firefly picks the winner in this game. They have admins and bots to tip the scale so the side that spends more money wins always even if they lack skills or cheat. It’s pure pay the win literally.
This game is very enjoyable, it can be a bit overwhelming since there are so many aspects to think about but once you get the hang of it it’s great. :)
I play on iPad so your mileage will vary. The game is definitely geared so that you need to pay to fully enjoy the game’s progression & good features. That being said, you can play the game well enough without paying; it will take a bit more planning & time. Despite that, I still love the gameplay. What I really hate is the constant crashes. Every 15 minutes sessions of gameplay is marred by at least 3 to 5 crashes. I almost spend as much time playing as reloading the game. That is what makes a game unplayable. If this continues after the next update, I’m out.
Please please please bring the original Stronghold games to iOS! I will instant buy them if they get added. They were amazing games and we need a way to play them anywhere!
