Stop pushing so many updates

Every time I open the app I must update. You don’t need so many blocking updates. You can make them optional/skippable unless it’s a critical security patch please. Or you could be a bit more transparent about what you are updating each time Also the app often crashes when you are busy browsing clothes. Please fix that I tried redeeming for an extra item and it launched a chat. Why do I need to speak to an agent to redeem something? It’s shady, it’s a dark design pattern. Please don’t do that. Same with cancelling subscriptions. Not everything has to go through an agent Great job to the service team and the general customer experience is great but the UX is lacking at times

Glitchy app, same old outfit selection, not worth it!

The app is EXTREMELY buggy. I face issues literally almost every time I use your app (80% of the time). Either the app is crashing or some delivery issue. There’s always something with your app and service (not in a good way). I recommended Styles Theory to my mom to avail the referral promo and even my mom experienced the same issues. For me, boxes go magically missing, doesn’t allow me to swap even though I still have so many boxes due to app glitch, doesn’t allow me to cancel delivery due to app error, have to wait long time for customer service to get back to me and by then the outfit I want to rent is gone. In addition, the selection of outfits are the same most of the time (which is ok, but you promote yourself as a platform that allows customers to try on different styles, but how to try different styles when your selection is always the same), even so most of the time the outfits I am interested in are not available or no size (which makes it even more limiting). My mom has since unsubscribed to your service due to all this issues and the only reason I have continued is because I thought of giving this business model another chance and see what new things Styles Theory can come up with but after 2yrs subscribing, very disappointing. No innovation, no new things, but what’s worst is that customer experience and service offering is becoming worse. Customer experience is terrible. Outfits that are unavailable are still being recommended to me by the app, which wastes my time looking just to find out that item is not even available for rent. Due to all of these reasons combined, I accumulated X number of boxes that I can’t even properly utilise. Yet Style’s Theory keeps deducting monthly subscription payment from my account as I won’t be able to utilise any of the boxes if my subscription is paused. I am trying to use up all my boxes and will be unsubscribing asap. NOT WORTH PAYING FOR STYLES THEORY SERVICE EVERY MONTH unless management does something to fix your buggy app, improve user experience and increase selections.

I have been using the app for a couple of months but the styles available and offered were limited so I decided to cancel the subscription. They made the cancellation process very tedious and continued to charged my card after it. Download at your own risk

App is a disaster!

Recently the app has been having lots of issues within the last month (1) suddenly all the items of M size and above were not available for selection. (2) later after items were returned - they were not reflected (3) then best of all, I originally had 2-3 boxes carried over, unused - and it says the boxes have disappeared! In addition, the browse to swap option was also removed! Disappointing! So basically I am asked to pay $50 for another box - when I originally had 2 boxes to be carried over which disappeared over night!!!

Abysmal logistics and app experience

Have been a loyal customer of StyleTheory for 5 years. In the recent 3 months, ever since the shipping vendor changed to Janio from Ping!, every box getting to my door has had issues either in delivery, slot selection or buggy app where it says my box is still on its way to the warehouse (when it had been well over a week). I have been notified almost every other time that the items added to my box were unavailable and had to scramble to order a new one. One of my new boxes ordered was even re-routed to laundry service without ever reaching my door. As a result of waiting days for each painful reply from the customer experience team (who sounds like a bot), I have racked up a backlog of 5 boxes for them to sort out each mess. I have been given additional points as service recovery, but what I really need is for the app to function as it did before all these past years - on time and with exactly what I ordered, with little to no interference at all. The trust of 5 years built is gone with whatever new team is managing this. If nothing improves, it is a great shame but you will lose this once-loyal customer as I will not be renewing my subscription.

Horrible CS

If you filter the reviews by "recent" you see a whole series of 1* reviews. Clothes are outdated, measurements wrong and CS doesn't care, delivery is always problematic and take more than 24 hours for the next box to be available for order. Can't wait to subscribe when I'm done with my remaining boxes.

I don't usually write a review but i do need to write a review here because style theory is very disappointed. 1. Meaningless delivery slot because they late 5 hrs without any notice 2. Expect forever to get reply in CS chat There is no public access in my condo, means i need to be at home for box swap. First time they failed to fulfill delivery in time, i tried to talk to CS that i need to leave home in 4 hours so please get it delivered. No response. After 5 hours they asked me to put it at outside. But i have alr left home. I didnt get my delivery that day. Second time, they are late again. It supposed to deliver by 2pm. I asked CS that is it okay i put my box in front of my door (which is what they asked me to do previously) but i am not responsible for any damages/lost at 3pm. A delivery guy called me at 8pm and never say sorry, he just cut the call. CS No answer until 11pm. And 11pm message was meaningless. I thought one of the merit of using clothes rental service is saving me more time and energy. But i am not happy using this.

I downloaded their app and paid for 1 month as there was a sale off for 1 month’s box. I did NOT see anything saying that I had agreed to subscribe. So I was not aware of any subscription going on. They continued charging my card for 5 MONTHS and I only realised it on the last month. There was NO UPDATE showing that I was being charged for my subscription. When I requested for refund, they refused to refund me, saying that they operate on a “Netflix” subscription. What rubbish. Even Netflix sends billing emails!!! They then told me to cancel the subscription before they would decide refunding me $400+ worth of my money of UNUSED boxes. I cancelled the subscription as per their instructions and they MIA on me. NO reply. This is truly a SCAM company!! Their selection of clothes is TERRIBLE and I found it so hard to even rent the first box of clothes. You know what?? Even if I have lost the $400+, don’t worry!! :) Your founder will receive the KARMA she deserves through cheating people and secretly charging customers’ cards and then lying to them that they will refund. God has eyes.

Apps always crashing, delivery missed and never on time or at the right location, the selection of clothes are outdated in style. I’m trying to unsubscribe now but they’re making it very difficult.

Initial service and quality of apparel were good. But after Covid, the customer service quality and the choices of apparel, bags have all sharply decreased. In a space of 2 months, I repeatedly had issues with the bag and clothes swaps. The app is also very unstable, wonky and UI unfriendly.
