Succulent Tracker App — a place to easily record all the important details you need to know about your succulents (or other plants).
The app allows you to keep track of the names of your plants, where they are located, and events like watering, repotting, pruning, fertilizing, and treating for pests.
Inside the app, open up the individual plant view to record information about your plant, add a new picture, or simply see the history of what has happened over the past few weeks.
You can also keep a photographic history of each plant, using the camera in your device or a photo you’ve taken previously.
Try the app for free for up to 5 plants. If you want to add more than 5 plants you’ll have the option to select a monthly ($2.99) or annual ($29.99) subscription. With a paid subscription you can add as many plants as you’d like!
There are lots of different ways to view and organize the information about your succulents.
The “Watering” view will show you which plants are ready to be watered next based on schedules you’ve set or the average number of days between watering.
You can also see which need to be watered within the next 2-3 days, which were already watered today, and which don’t need to be watered yet.
Switching over to the “My Plants” view, you can see photos of all the succulents in your collection grouped by genus. You can then switch to view the succulents grouped by location — indoor or outdoor — and tags you’ve added to them.
Tapping on an individual plant will allow you to see all the information about it.
On the individual plant editor screen you can record information including:
The scientific name
A nickname
Photos
Watering schedule
When it was last watered
When you repotted
When you treated for bugs
Where you purchased it
If you made changes to the light or location
When you propagated it
And more!
There is a “Note” feature that allows to add any other information about the plant. You can also use tags as a way to add information and group succulents that are similar.
You can easily record new “actions” (watering, repotting, pruning, treating for bugs, fertilizing, make a note or take a new photo) by clicking the edit button in the top corner.
On the plant view screen you can also set the desired watering frequency.
This will generate a notification on the day that plant needs to be watered again.
You’ll also see the average watering time for that plant and when it was watered last.
Tagging is a really great way to add additional details about your plants. If you want to record where you got it, how much light it needs, that you grew it from a leaf, or anything else important to you… Just add it in as a tag!
In any view, you can record action and apply them to a group of plants as well. So rather than marking one by one that you’ve watered plants, simply go to a “view” where they are grouped together and tap to record that you’ve watered everything in that group.
There are so many ways to help you keep track of your plants and better care for them. Actions are quick and easy to record so you can easily take care of your succulents and keep going on with your day. Give the app a try so you can stop overwatering succulents, worrying about when you watered last and wondering if it’s ok to water again.
You can try the app for free for up to 5 plants. If you want to add more than 5 plants you’ll have the option to select a monthly ($2.99) or annual ($29.99) subscription. With a paid subscription you can add as many plants as you’d like!

How much does Succulent Tracker cost?
Succulent Tracker has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 83.99 lei.
Attractive, but lacks tools you would expect from a plant identification and care app. I was expecting a “succulent” app to be dedicated to identification and care of succulents, but it lacks those features. I f you do not already know why your plant is, and how to care for it, this will not help because it is little more than a database and reminder. There is a buried plant database, but it is manual l. It has filters, but you need to know you have a Crassula to narrow down to anything similar and it does not seem to load all of the photos, so you have to tap to see what each Crassula is.
It is a little odd that you cannot enter the last time a plant was watered if it was watered before you added it. It is not clear to me what the $30/yr subscription gets you.
Love this App!!
I started my succulent obsession in February 2023 and now have 80+ plants and my collection continues to grow. All of my succulents are indoors and I needed a way to keep organized for their care. This App is wonderful and very user friendly. This App also lets you keep a photo journal of my succulents’ progress which I love. Yes, there is a fee if you have more than 5 plants, but it is minimal and so very worth it. I would be lost without this App. And, if you have plants indoors and outdoors, you can designate the plants location.
Very Helpful
Without this app. , I would not be able to remember when I watered my plants last.
Great but
Great app, but I would really appreciate an ability to one time buy instead of the monthly subscription model.
Exactly what I wanted.
I started taking care of succulents a couple of years ago and somehow ended up with over 30 plants (counting props). Lol. My poor ADHD brain has had a slightly difficult time keeping track of the minutiae for every plant. A few months ago, I dreamed up an app that would help.
THIS is the app! I found it! And it’s almost perfect.
**NOTE: This isn’t an ID or Diagnostic app!**
It’s a Helper app: To help keep track of your succulents.
I’ve tried a few other apps that try to “do it all,” but they all fell short for me. I think this one is the best. There’s no AI feature for diagnosing problems or identifying unknown succulents, but what it DOES do, it does really WELL!
It took a little while to get comfortable with it, but getting started was pretty simple and easy. I had plants put in, named (genus, species & variety, and cultivar), nicknamed, tagged, photographed, and organized really quickly.
When I’ve wanted a feature, I’ve quickly realized that the feature already existed, I just hadn’t discovered it yet. For instance, I have different species of succulent props together in one dish: I can enter them each individually, and when I water the whole dish, I can bring up their tag (propdish) and log “water” for all of them as a group, instead having to log it for each one, separately.
I’m really pleased with this app overall. Pretty much everything I need is easy to see and keep track of. No more losing track of when something was watered or repotted last.
Highly recommend!
NOT HELPFUL
IMO this app is basically useless. It does not identify succulents. It does not offer any suggestions or helpful info about the plants. I guess it could be useful to someone that knows everything about every succulent but I'm not that person. The user has to enter all details about the plant & set all the reminders. I thought it would help me learn about my succulents but this is not the case. I'll be canceling my subscription. I've had other apps that offer these features, I'll return to those.
Basic
Simple and feature limited. Slightly more convenient than using my spreadsheet to keep track of my collection. Not enough functionality or value to ask for $2.99 per month.
Plants are healthier
My plants are healthier. It helps me to know the date I fertilized and watered my plants and reminds me who needs water and fertilizer.
This app made me a better plant mom!
I had the worst luck with plants! They would die anytime I tried to keep them alive. They would just shrivel up. And. Die. This made me very very sad. So I decided to take action and change my life forever! This app has saved me!!! I love you succulent tracker!!! You are my best friend!!
Saves my plants
Works so great. I've been using it for a year now and love it
