When finishing a game, the software does not recognizes it. The next time you sign in, it takes you back to your last game, and you must complete the last few numbers again. This adds to your time as well. The numbers at the bottom are too close, and I click the number next to the one intended. I have written this in reviews before. They just get ignored. A new problem is that in ios 18, even though I have turned off the Game Center, it still shows messages in this game that it's off and to sign in. There are no option within the game to turn off these annoying messages.

Ads now come before every game, and there is no where to get out of a lot of them. I’m having to close the app and restart it half the time because it gets stuck in the ad with no way out! Highly annoying!

I have used this app for over 10 years and it’s my go-to game for any time I need to kill. Typically a game or two every day when switching between tasks, and then for about an hour every night to wind down. I’ve completed over 1600 games according to the achievements section, and strictly play on an expert level. I only say all of this to convey how much this game has become entwined in my daily routine, and specifically THIS app with THIS version of sudoku as I’ve tried many others and didn’t like them. Just a bit ago, today, 9/7/24, I mistakenly hit to update this app thinking it would just update some behind the scenes software issues. Instead, the entire aesthetic of the game has changed. The home page is different. The play mode is different. The numbers are a different size. The boxes are more square vs being more soft. Basically, the layout has changed juuuust enough to feel wrong, and frankly I hate it. Now, there are other updates that I think improve the experience. The ability to pause the timer while playing for one. But, unfortunately, this one decision seems to have taken away something that was so small, but only now that it’s changed, I realize was a BIG part of my daily routine. For reference, the version I was using before looks like the in-app picture displayed in the description still active in the App Store. I have no idea which version I was operating under in order to try and restore it. Here’s to hoping someone working behind the scenes on this one might see this review and take pity on me and restore the appearance. Please bring back my comfort sudoku app :(

I like the hunting features that isolates all locations of the number you click on. Makes for a fast game.

It is easy to play fun and enjoyable and even though I’m a kid I love this game I am feeling smart now :P

By far the most enjoyable and easy to play sudoku puzzle game, iMHO. I play every day. Good stuff!

Ads don’t clear game is worthless. Try one of the thousand others!
