Why The “Crosshairs”

The latest version of the app added “crosshairs” which highlight the row and column of the selected cell. The problem is that there is no option to disable that new feature. If one was working on a puzzle on a simple piece of paper, the paper would not automatically highlight rows and colors limbs. Why have the app mandate this behavior?

New dark mode

I have been playing this for over 5 years now and this new dark mode is forcing me to switch to a different app
