Simple and fun to use
This app is minimalist and friendly. It has sane sensible defaults and is easily changeable if you want to configure things differently. And the artwork is nice. There are only a few minor things preventing me from giving it a full five star rating: - It would be nice to have the break timer continue counting the way the focus timer does, that way when I’m using the app I can see an exact breakdown of my time focused vs. my time taking a break. I often go for a walk as my break so it a frequent occurrence to exceed my set break time - I would love to have more granular control over the break time. I do small pomodorros so I would like to have something like a two minute break between times. I think the lowest current setting is five. - I really like the background and white noise (the other options for soundscapes were well worth the upgrade). But it only plays while my phone screen is awake and then cuts the sound. This is very frustrating so it’s actually a feature I have stopped using because I spent more time fussing with white noise generators than focusing which sort of defeated the purpose of the app. If the white noise would behave more like sound from another app (like audible or spotify) and continue to play while the phone is locked and off I would appreciate that. Overall, this is one of the best pomodorro style apps I’ve used and I really appreciate the thought and artwork that went into it. I downloaded to see the artwork, I stayed and upgraded for the good design. This app doesn’t try to do too much and that’s perfect.
The background sounds calm me and keep me on track without having to distract myself by looking at the timer. I love the auditory reminder that I am : FOCUSING NOW. I just LOVE the cracking campfire. 🔥The little whistle at the end of the 25 minutes is just right. If Im on a roll, I can keep going and rack up those minutes of focused effort. Even though I do not care about keeping stats, I plan to buy the paid version just so that I can reward you for this excellent tool. This is life changing for those of us with executive function deficits. Really great app!
I have downloaded many focus apps and this one is perfect. Super cute, calming and fun and easy to use. I like the ability to pause when needed. I hope this app expands to include more focus adventures!
The interface of this app is so cute and aesthetically pleasing! They also have good choices for ambiance sounds while you study. However, I do hope that they make the background fit when you place your ipad in landscape mode; I can’t see the girl and her pet anymore when my ipad is in landscape. Please fix this!! 🤩
It even has A small Diary i use this for homework really good
