The recent update has made the app work again the way it should! It worked fine for a long time and then just stopped being responsive even though it was correctly on my network etc. Fast forward to a month ago, the app updated and hallelujah! Version upgrade and I’m back in business. Thank you Dev team

Missing control after update

The new version is much faster but unfortunately the blower switch disappeared and in its place there is jet 3 which doesn’t exist or control the blower. I have verified that the model is set correctly, so no idea what else to do as the support links points to pages that don’t exist.

I installed a brand new Wi-Fi connection from Sundance on my Optima. Right out of the box it wouldn’t connect. After a couple weeks Sundance fixed it, now the free year of the cloud I didn’t renew and wasn’t even offered as much. I changed it to Wi-Fi and it worked for a little while but now after my phone update the tub will not connect to my phone. Extremely frustrating especially so when you spend $18k and wait almost a year to get the tub.

The iPhone iOS update caused this app to stop working. I appreciate that this issue was fixed relatively quickly. This app is far from perfect. I have never been able to reset the filter days for example. However, it does control the most important spa functions including temperature. Helpful solution for a second home at a reasonable price.

Very convenient

I love this app even though it can be quirky. It has been great to control our tub at our second home so the tub is toasty warm when we arrive. HOWEVER, since the last IOS update to 16.1.1, the app does not work if we are not on the same WiFi, (in the same location) so is totally useless to use remotely. Sooooo sad.

The app connects to the tub, but doesn’t show any information. Temperature? Oh, it’s 0. You can actually tap like crazy to make it go up or down, but you’ll have no idea where it’s at unless you look at the tub control panel, defeating the purpose of the app. HUGE disappointment for such an expensive tub. I would recommend looking elsewhere if you were counting on remote control capabilities.

So here is the deal. I rarely ever write a review but when it’s this bad people should be fair warned. I bought a used Sundance aspen tub. The previous owner had it for a little over a year kept it perfect condition. I drove to Texas to pick it up through his Sundance dealer. Paid big bucks for this thing. I hook it up everything is as good as new. At this point I am happy. Now the problems begin. I decide to hook up the WiFi part of the tub. Can’t register the tub in my name and account. Understandable call Sundance and talk with a lady on the phone. I need the old owner email to get registration changed and password. Cool 2 hours of my life gone. Connect the seller he is awesome gets me everything I need. Call back. Tell them I can log in under the old email and new password but need to change the account holder. Put on hold “technical support says you can’t do that because he let the cloud subscription end” what a joke. I am told I have to buy a brand new WiFi module. But yet this thing works perfectly fine but the seller and I want it in my name hooked up to my local WiFi. Remember this thing is so new it’s under warranty!!!! Nope buy a new one thanks for calling I will let my supervisor know you are not happy. Sundance spas are awesome have owned various models for better than 20years. App that controls the spa complete junk. Imagine buying a Lexus or a Porsche that has xm radio in it used. And the. Be told nope can’t use it but a whole new radio from your dealer and have them install it. Ludicrous. Get your app, your developers, your server, and your customer service all on the same page.

Overall a very good app - with one recommendation!

My app seems to be working better than most. There is a small graphical glitch with the blower (it shows a couple toggles when it should only be off or on) but other wise does exactly what it is intended to do. the app tells me when things are broken (flow control switch usually), or when filters need to be cleaned/replaced. Also does a very nice job of controlling blower, jets, lights, and temp. I would give it 5 star if it also controlled the stereo (volume, equalizer, on/off) as well which is a definite call-out. The stereo can currently only be controlled from the hot tub control panel, which is often a bit wet and unresponsive.

Control panel on spa is fogged and unusable so using app to control functions for now while I wait for replacement. Problem is it immediately crashes when I try to change a primary filter setting. Can’t figure a way to communicate with developer. I suggest a webpage control page instead of this app if developers are not being given the resources they need to actually release something stable.

The app is pretty much useless. Most features crash when used on a new iPhone. Temp is really the only feature that works and many times it cannot connect to the server. Finally, $60 a year when we already had to pay to have the spa Wi-Fi enabled is upsetting. I wish we hadn’t bought this feature in the first place.
