Hexagram Dreams is an app that lets you cast and consult the I Ching, and keep a journal of your past i ching readings.
Name is inspired by Philip K. Dick's "Electric Dreams" and the hexagrams, which are at the core of this experience.
What is I Ching?
The I Ching (Book of Changes) is an ancient Chinese text that has been used for centuries as a tool for divination, wisdom, and decision making. It is based on 64 hexagrams, each made up of six lines - solid (yang) or broken (yin). These hexagrams represent different states of life, change, and transformation. By casting a hexagram, you receive insights into your current situation and guidance on how to move forward.
How do you use this app?
Think of a question or write it down and click on "Cast I Ching" six times.
Read the general interpretation or click on "Ask for interpretation" for a more personalized reading. Customized interpretation is AI based.
Save and revisit readings, search them, add personal notes to readings.

- Cast I Ching - app simulates coin the traditional coin toss method
- General interpretation
- Hexagram dictionary - inspect each of the I Ching hexagrams. Hexagram interpretations in the app are original, but you may want to look into original chinese text, german translation by Wilhelm or english translation of Wilhelm's text by Baynes. Therefore, each hexagram has a link to the original or translations.
- Save & Revisit Readings – Keep track of past readings and reflect on their insights in your i ching journal.
- Search & Organize – Easily browse previous questions and results.
- Share Readings – Share your I Ching interpretations with friends or save them for future reference
