Combination of modes (custom AI instructions) with voice transcription in a very flexible implementation gives my phone (and mac) superpowers.
I love taking voice notes and getting back structured output while walking my dog.
Updated Review!
For some reason, I'm unable to update my old, 3 star review where I was impressed but didn't have a phone that could take advantage of all the cool features, and my transcriptions were crapping out after two minutes.
I'm now writing a new review having just purchased an iPhone Pro 13. if you have the right hardware, I can't overstate how good this app is. I think the only thing that's missing (for someone who uses transcription multiple times a day at some length) is the absence of a pause button. For longer material there is often the need to take a moment to collect your thoughts, which, if there's a noisy background can make for some very weird transcriptions. (At the moment I am using WhisperBoard for longer stuff, but I would love to use this instead.)
Beyond that, it's perfect. Thank you!
Awesome Mac App, mobile has a way to go.
I use Superwhisper on my Mac every day, many times a day. It’s fantastic. I’d pay for it twice, if I had to.
The mobile app currently has little value for me. I love the idea, but more than half of the time is doesn’t provide any AI result for “email” or “note” or any other prompt. It only provides the transcription.
Here’s to the progress the team will surely make.
Love this app
Is there anyway you can allow audio files to be uploaded? On either the mobile app or Mac? That would be amazing! Pleeeease
One of my first app reviewed ever
This is really well done. I haven’t seen voice to text this good yet. Great job!
Superwhisper for the win
I’m not big on reviews but I’m left no choice but to stop and share that SuperWhisperer has changed my workflow for more than the advertised 3X, easy! Although the iOS app is fantastic, the MacOS program is even better in my opinion. It did not take long before I became a Pro license holder of SuperWhisperer. So, thanks so much to Neil and the SuperWhisperer community - definitely suggest connecting to the Discord. 6 stars!
Must have app!
I've explored several options for iOS and Mac, and up to now, Superwhisper stands out as the most effective and cost-efficient voice-to-text application for my needs. The frequency of updates on a weekly basis is impressive, and the efficiency and time-saving aspects of its functionality are astonishing.
App is really good
I hope you will continue to improve it
Glitchy
Records audio but doesn’t transcribe. Error message says “no voice found in recording” but in history you can listen to the recording.
Stops half way through, audio stranded
It may be that the age of my phone is to blame (iPhone XS) but the transcript just stops half way. I've tried a couple different times to process long recordings, and while the short ones are great you should depend on this if you're doing more than 2.5 min of audio. On its own, not a big deal, but there is no indication that its only a partial transcript and no way to get the audio out of the app to transcribe elsewhere. Compared to the Mac app (which is great) this feels a little half baked.
