Sweep Alarm

I got a street cleaning ticket at Fell & Baker yesterday morning. I double checked the app before I park. It shows the street cleaning time is 6am to 8am. I safely parked my car on Fell after 9am without to check the signs on the street. An hour later I got the ticket that caused me noticed signs shows the sweep time is 8am to 10am. I feel I was fooled. Conclusion: The app designed with map is very convenient to use. Don’t rely it. It may provide an un-updated info. Be better to check the signs on the street when you parking.

It’s a fantastic concept. But fails miserably in the execution. Save yourself the ticket money and use another method to remind you.

This app is going to save me hundreds or thousands of dollars. I try to remember to move my car at the right time but forget maybe once a month, and that’s a $95 mistake in SF. This app is almost perfectly designed.. The only improvement would be more assertive and customizable alarm / reminder options. Great job! Some reviewers have noted some inaccurate street cleaning dates. So far all info is accurate for me, but I always check the app against the sign before trusting the alarm, recommend that for all users just in case.

I loved using this at my old apartment but when we moved I noticed the parking rules in the app are wrong for the streets in my new neighborhood. I reported this to the developers and got a quick reply, but no update to the app since. So if you plan to use this, BEWARE of incorrect data.

What a great convenience this app is. You can conveniently check what day and time street sweeping is, if you happen to forget when it is scheduled for the street you parked on. I’ve confirmed it is accurate at least for my neighborhood. Highly recommended for anyone in SF with a car!

I used his app several times. A few weeks ago I used it and it said I had several days until there was street cleaning. Actually, it was less than 2 hours. Got hit with a $78 ticket.

I just downloaded the app and already I can see that it’s really well-designed to tell me what this street cleaning schedule is for any particular location. So that feature alone makes it worth the price, of course it’s free so that’s amazing.

If you street park in SF, you must download this app. Beats setting calendar reminders or alarms to avoid street sweeping tickets! If you share your car, you can send a text through the app of where the car is (then the other person can update Sweep Alarm locally). Highly recommend. I have never felt the need to rate an app on the App Store until now!
