Swelldone - Virtual Row Reviews

Buggy

FlyingPhill on

Got it to run on a new iPad. But still buggy. Hangs frequently when updating content packs and entering the game to row. Frequently exits and reenters the game while rowing with rowed distance reset. Interval tones may play or not, who knows. Sometimes the force curve from my PM5 shows up, sometimes not. The progress bar for interval training doesn’t line up to when the interval should change so without tones, you just end up rowing whatever. Why don’t you have a rotating camera view option? I think it’s the battlecam, but it cycles so quickly it’ll make you nauseous. And most importantly, the game shorted me about 5km of trial distance. Graphics are pretty, but I’ll go back to EXR.

Crashes

Couldn’t get arcade or erg-synched version to work on iPad, synched version didn’t connect on iPhone. Graphics looked great, and I like the idea, though. 😐

Tremendous app!

(+) Row in beautiful Hawaii, with others all conditions, all boats. Download to logs, apple health. Soo neat. (-) Doesn't load / work on ipad; iPhone 13 pro max gets very hot in 2 minutes. No Apple tv app (the obvious choice: any screen size)...

Doesn’t work

Crashes every time I start. Was great…now nothing.

Love the app and I love how fast Wyatt responded and resolved my issues. It’s a must have app for perging

Great Game

I’m new to rowing and this has been a big help to keep things interesting. Seems like there’s a ton of potential if the developer keeps going. I love exploring new spots and using different landmarks as a goal for my workout. Works perfectly with my C2 RowErg

Can’t really review it. The loading screen is cool I guess

Update no good

JAYDUBB87 on

United States

The update makes surfing highly unrealistic. I loved the first version and was surfing like a machine. Now I just spin my wheels the ENTIRE time. I feel like I’m a Novice B again. Go back to the version 1 set up. I like the new course but the rest is a fail. UPDATE: I think the problem might be that the wind is going opposite direction of the surf. I notice when I try paddling against the swells my speeds are way up. We need to make surfing fun again, like version 1.
