Swiftfin

Been using Swiftin since TestFlight, they’ve come a long way, lots of fixes and improvements that were needed. Only main issue I still have is that you can’t play audio formats like TrueHD etc. Would love it if it supported playing transcoded clips, maybe a download section for offline playback, probably the most unlikely feature would be Skip Intro and Skip Outro. Either way great update even after an entire year.

Hi two problems. One I can’t connect whatsoever. But can on your full version jellyfin. And secondly when videos do play (exclusively on wifi as can’t get vpn to work with this) can’t get bottom bar to disappear which makes viewing not immersive

It’s too basic, missing a lot of features. If you look at the project on GitHub you will see that it’s not getting active development either. I recommend you use alternative applications.

I have tried everything, all the experimental option but nothing work the navigation bar wont go away on my iPad

Does not honour Jellyfin server settings for Movie and Shows which are not supposed to be included in the search or Home Screen

Cannot connect via IP or URL.

Great app! Thank you, developers, for your great work! However, no end user cares that this is written in Swift; and being that we’re on iOS, having that as part of the name is silly. Please rename the app “Jellyfin” or “Jellyfin V” or “Jellyfin Video” (since there seems to be a completely separate app for music). Thanks for listening!

Neat idea but poorly implemented. Can’t find the server on a network that other apps have no problem accessing.

I find this app to be better than the main Jellyfin application; it is generally more stable, and works more efficiently, and has a more usable interface. I was happy to see an update to it today (June 11) but now it doesn’t see my local JF server at all. The main app still works, implying that something has been broken in this new update regarding server discovery.

Why is there an option to change audio type but not video quality? App is very nice, but the player is much too simplified in my opinion; it doesn’t really take advantage of what Jellyfin has to offer.
