This app does a disservice to the SXSW event. Such a poor experience and who on earth felt the persistent mail chimp pop up was a good idea. Way to erode a brand.
The app is fine but the mailchimp pop up ad is a special kind of torture. It is beyond me as to why a tech conference would allow a pop up add that appears when the app is opened, and then over and over and over and over again. A star is lost every time I see it. And if the star rating could go negative, this app would be on -100 stars. Please make it stop.
The mailchimp add that you have to dismiss every time you open the add is very frustrating!
We’ve paid thousands for a ticket and you fill the app with annoying popup adverts that make it unusable! Pointless!
The mailchimp pop up is making me loose my mind (and want to uninstall the SXSW app) Is there a way to suppress it so I don’t have to see it every single time I open the app or am browsing in the app - please make it stop!
Frustrating to have pop ups continuously appearing when trying to navigate the day
Terrible terrible app. For a conference that has such a strong UX, design and innovation focus this app blows. Search functionality doesn’t work - just try searching for keywords like “AI” or “artificial intelligence” will yield zero results. Yet there are multiple talks on the subject.
Stop the ads! Poor experience
So many bugs in this app. Events don’t load properly, it is almost impossible to log in, and even after buying a 1000 dollar ticket they have the nerve to serve full screen ads in the app. Pretty embarrassing for a tech conference
