Sydney Culture Walks Reviews
Colony tour
I spent a wonderful couple of hours recently in Sydney doing the Colony self guided tour. I am a frequent visitor to Sydney but this was a first for me. Many of the streets were familiar places but it was great to have info on the history of the buildings. The views from the observatory were great.
Looking forward to my next visit and doing other walks. The guides are easy to follow and very informative.
Fantastic Resource
I love the app.
l did the Skirting Sydney walk on my own and had the best time discovering Sydney in the 1800s and 1900s. I was inspired by stories of women who through adversity or tenacity made a difference to their city which is now my city.
The interactive map and brief description of each point of interest was perfect.
I’m now looking forward to working my way through the other walks and sharing this discovery with others.
Be careful of notification setting defaulting to always
The actual content of this app is fantastic. Some excellent history of Sydney presented in some innovative themed walks guided with your phone.
Important-Be careful of the notification setting defaulting to 'always'. I never allow notifications but somehow this app used about 3Gb of phone data while it ran in the background unbeknownst to me, yet I was at some of the actual sites from the app during this time and did not receive any notifications!
Very frustrating.
Very informative
Discovered some great hidden gems of Sydney today in the laneways walk - great app!
Great app
What a wonderful way to be a tourist in my own city. The app was very easy to use and I am looking forward to my next walk.
Interesting short intro to Sydney
Great intro to Sydney. Would recommend it to be used as a Sydney holiday guide. I notice however that the photograph in Colony/Lands Department (No 5) is not correct, it's the Chief Secretary's Building again, as mentioned in stop No3). Accuracy is a must to give credence to the App content.
my favorite app
beautiful and charming. excellent for dates and tourists. :)
Great content
Good way to learn the city
Great way to discover Sydney
Nicely made app to help you discover Sydney. It would be good if more walks could be included like the Bondi to Coogee walk.
