SFF App

Terrifically simple app and easy to use for organising what to see and when and keep your tickets and list of “might-want-to-see”

Does the job

The Sydney Film Festival app is excellent at most of what it does. You can easily check your tickets and display them at the cinema. It also has a good calendar. Its one weakness in the 2022 version is that it doesn’t let you select a seat when you book. For that you need to go to the website.

The SFF app is an excellent way to easily research, book and makes changes to Sydney’s premier film festival…

SFF 2021

Everyone is trying to make it as great as possible - especially the staff and volunteers. The Festival is wonderful!!!

Not great UX

The app is really frustrating. I’m disappointed I can’t filter by genre, language, festival stream (the program is overwhelming and too hard to navigate). I’m frustrated that it doesn’t automatically fill in my flexipass code. I’m very confused by the random extra tickets that keep appearing in my cart, e.g. I consistently add 2 tickets, and a spare third for the same day is also there. It’s weird and annoying. Also can’t actually add tickets to my cart on the iPad version. The whole experience is really frustrating. Please do better next year.

Useless, non intuitive & I’m amazed they cannot get it together. This should be a fun experience❗️ Spend some time to test before you launch your app next year.

Works Wonderfully

Easy to navigate. Effective and responsive. On a Sunday morning, I contacted support to reverse a double booking and got an email with the solution within an hour. Superb service that works. No more paper tickets. Happy camper :)

Ticketing service dysfunctional

With the switch to Ferve ticketing, the app is now next to useless. Such a pity. Bring back Apple Wallet support, where you could download your ticket and getting into the cinema was orderly, rather than what is now a stressful experience where you are never sure if your ticket will download and display when needed.

Very buggy 2018

Almost daily updates during this festival, the app usually breaks, unable to login without deleting the app and logging in again to get access to your tickets. We are here to watch films not fiddle with the app. Please fix this for next year.
