This app is really great and has so much potential, but the problems it has almost make it unusable. However, the developer has a fundamental misunderstanding of time signatures as well as tempo. The 6/8 measures really function as 3/4 in both subdivision and tempo (automatically uses 1/4 note for tempo with no way to change to dotted 1/4 note). Additionally, the app will not run unless notifications are turned on before starting the app. Wish I hadn’t spent the $8 on this
Notifications
I have notifications turned off for this app. There is literally nothing it needs to notify me of.
Upon doing this, I receive a prompt about my disabled notification every time I open the app. When I click cancel and try to proceed, the app doesn’t open. What a joke.
Not worth it
Why would you make an app that you have to pay for, then have in-app purchases. Maybe you should have it come already with certain packs therefore it doesn’t feel as greedy. Also, you should be able to have flams and fiddle on certain notes. 6/8 is only set up for 2+2+2 where sometimes you really need 3+3 so you can edit one of that triplet.
Keeps Crashing
When I play or edit a measure within a chain. Really frustrating
Please continue making improvements!
I began transcribing rudiment books like stick control and syncopation with this to allow the app to teach me how these rudiments should sound. I love this app. It crashes frequently- I would absolutely love the syncing to cloud to be a little easier to understand (and the restore and backup functions do not work for me) but the email works however very time consuming.
Please improve UI! allow for multiple lines or increase/decrease of visual notes. I love this app. Please continue it.
Sticking
One thing that I would really like to see in this app is the ability to mark each note as either a left or right hand note. Other then that, great app.
Heard great things but
I would love to test this app. I hear nothing but good things about it. However when I attempt to download the D’addario free pack it crashes immediately. Running latest OS on iPhone X.
Good but expesive
Great app but the extra chains do not add much for being 2 dollars each.
Stockings?
Cool app, but it would be useful to be able to add in stickings
Awesome!
This the most sophisticated metronome app out there! I am having so much fun with it and I find it extremely useful.
My ONLY complaint is that I am unable to keep the app going while taking a video with my phone. I often use other metronome apps this way so I can re watch the video and take a better in depth look at my timing. If you guys could find a way to add that perhaps in an update that would be stupendous.
Other than that it is a fantastic app & useful tool I’d recommend to any musician
