Initial connection to my Yamaha Clavinova would not work. Tried it with a Midi keyboard and it didn’t work either. Finally, power cycle of the iPad Pro fixed the problem and now I’m looking forward to using this nice program to help my wife learn to play piano. I’m sure I’ll find things that could be done differently, but on first experience I’m very impressed by the power and yet simplicity of the concept. It reminds me of an old notation method called Klavierscribo that my mother learnt in Holland. It similarly shows notes in vertical lines, not unlike the standard stave. There was something natural and obvious about it and that was my first exposure to reading music on the piano. I think Synthesia provides a natural entree to learning the piano.
