While looking promising, the app doesn’t let you add previously purchased tickets through an outside vendor into the queue or schedule. The app should not be only focused on purchases made within it but on any ticket an individual has purchased.
3rd rate app by Chinese developers
I was able to buy a ticket easily enough but the app asked for calendar permission and put the train time at the wrong time on my calendar.
My family is from Taiwan and I often come back to spend time with my grandfather. I take the high speed rail from Taipei to the south and the app has made the whole process a lot easier. You are able to search for tickets and times, show discounted fares (sometimes a couple of search refreshes can be needed), and even refund a ticket for no- minimal cost besides a service charge. I don’t speak Chinese very well and can’t read traditional, so major props to the English translations on this app! The app even let me make a same day change for ticket times as long as you haven’t collected the ticket yet! And you can collect via the app on your mobile phone. If you do collect via mobile only one ticket can be accessed per device. You can send the ticket to another number, but otherwise collecting at a convenience store if you have kids may be best! Once you collect the ticket you can scan it at the entrance to get into the platform! They take some US credit cards and you’ll need your passport number too. All in all I had a great experience using this to get around Taiwan
I have booked a ticket on the app and I paid in a convenience store. I lost the ticket somewhere and the representative told me neither they can give me the refund nor reprint the ticket even though I have the record in the app. They also have my government issued ID number that can verify my identity. I really don’t know why they can not reprint another one.

Not working for iOS 16.0.2
I don’t understand why adults cannot retrieve tickets for kids under 12 on the app. I accidentally retrieved mine and was told by customer service I cannot collect my children’s tickets unless they have their own mobile devices. Nor can I get the physical tickets for them in a convenience store or HSR station because they only allow one retrieval method per booking . The only way is to pay the processing fee and refund all the tickets. And they cannot guarantee we sit together if we rebook!! Very inconvenient!
Why was it changed to be compatible with only the credit cards issued in Taiwan? It accepted the credit cards issued by US before the app upgrade. It’d be much more convenient if it can be used by foreigners with their cards.
