Pro Now Requires Subscription

GMBaz on

United States

I purchased Tadaa Pro a few years back. I have been using it occasionally. Now the Pro features requires a $28.99 yearly subscription fee. So they took away my purchase. This is stealing and false advertising. I want a refund. But I’ll guess hidden in the TOS they said they could do this at any time and a purchase to them meant I never really owned anything. Thanks for noting.

Very Disappointed w/ Update…😕

NickiRose999 on

I’ve been using this app since I was 13 y/o in middle school. I’m 26 now. 😅 I’ve been a loyal & faithful user of this app for over a decade & it has NEVER failed or disappointed me, UNTIL this most recent update. 😩 I LOVEEE using the “Blur” tool. As a photographer, this tool is AMAZING b/c sometimes I don’t get the blur I’m looking for, even after a strong focus in my photos. But w/ the most recent update, the blur tool now has this dark grey BOX around the part you use to create your own “mask.” & I CANNOT get it to my liking b/c I can’t see around it! I mean, maybe this is a GREAT feature for people who are doing pictures of very straight & box-like things…but most of my photos are of everything BUT. & it’s IMPOSSIBLE to get mask my backgrounds ACCURATELY around the part of the photo I want the focus to be on. 😔 TADAA, can you PLEASE change it back? Or make it so you can TURN THE BOX ON & OFF? This isn’t a user friendly feature for EVERYONE. & I would be so sad if something this small was the thing that pushed me away from using the app. The “Edge” feature is nice SOMETIMES, but it still doesn’t do as good of a job as when I do it myself by hand, every little crease & corner. I’ve had years & years of practice. But this is just a feature I cannot get used to. I still want to take the time to say Thank You, though. For all the work you’ve put into this app over the years & the photo editing skills you’ve allowed me to have for so long. I owe many, MANY of my photography’s compliments to you guys. & before this one little flaw, (to me personally) this app was easily a 5 star. If I could do 10, I would.

Crashes constantly

iPhone 15max crashes after every photos. Reinstalled three times. Takes forever to open and then crashes before or after I can save my work. Really poor app for iPhone.

in-app purchases

i purchased all the add on filters on my old phone. now i cannot restore them via in-app purchases. now they are included only in the “pro” subscription. another issue is you resize the output image way too small 1536? why restrict paying customers output images? i feel like there is no longer any use for your app

It’s now useless for me

VenusdeRhymer on

I’ve had Tadaa for over a decade and the switch to the subscription business is a rip off. I paid for the deluxe version and now I don’t have a deluxe version because they got rid of it. Not only that, but it doesn’t seem to work as well it doesn’t have the same types of options it’s really too bad because I enjoyed using it

-5 stars for that subscription method

-5 stars for introducing that subscription method. It makes no sense at all. Note: I regularly update my review/rating for this application.

Nickel and dime

I’ve been or was a Tadaa user for many years. It was a photo sharing site at one time and as it evolved I brought more and more filters. To the point where I brought the whole pack and then to my surprise they changed their schematic to one where you now have to pay a subscription for what exactly?? To use more filter? Something that you can create in Snapseed or with your apple phone which by the way does very good photo editing as well. I loved this app and I made many friend here which was in my opinion a true photography app. (Not instagram which is a social media app disguised as a photo app), it was fun and again I didn’t mind buying the “packs” when they had them and then the whole bundle which i did, but to put a paid subscription is just petty, I know app developers need to make money but this is a bit much. I came to see the state of the app currently and am not pleased, go back to your roots Tadaa, the world of full of subscriptions services no one wants including this one. I’m surprised they didn’t take away the filters I had much like the pictures I once posted here which all disappeared. Good luck Tadaa. Your gonna need it.

Great for bokeh!

I’ve had this app for years, and although I admittedly don’t use it that often, it is my go to app for creating artificial Bokeh and shallow depth of field. By using the highlights and gloss feature in the blur mode, as well as the masking option, I’m able to re-create the look one can normally only achieve with a wide-open aperture setting. Great for getting a dreamy look in my street photography. I know of no other app that does this so authentically. The iPhone portrait mode can get something similar, but only when your subject matter is relatively close. With this app, I can get that same sort of affect but while applying it to a larger scene. Good stuff!

Best photo app ever!!
