Talkyto - Twilio calls & SMS

Please I want to get Twilio account. Help me

Not sure how they’re able to continue to bill me after my subscription was canceled and expired under the subscriptions settings.

Subscribed to their $6.49 plan; the app keep saying no active subscription found, please subscribe to continue. Raised several issue tickets. Their support staff responses with your issue is being worked but no one really responses with any resolution. Very poor service. I cancelled subscription and they still charge my credit card. App does not work! Don’t waste your money!!

I wish there were alternative sms Apps for Twilio. I’ve searched but only this app I’m finding so far. It will be great if the developers of this app can spend a few extra hours to improve the app’s feature, performance and even usability. It’s very slow and hard to use, compared to any sms and messaging apps I’ve ever used. Worst case, we can’t even get any notifications when customers respond. I have enabled notifications and even set the banner to persist. It still doesn’t notify anyone!!!

It shows connecting to twilio over and over again but can’t connect. Why did you publish this app on App Store?

I paid for subscription and it still doesn’t work , says upgrade your account. Submit a ticket, no answer during 6 hours. What support service is doing?

Have had multiple problems with the software like not receiving incoming texts and calls randomly. And it’s hard to reach any support. You can’t call if you have a problem. You have to email and wait for a response. And they don’t seem knowledgeable enough. Keep asking me all kinds of questions. Sent 10 emails so far back n forth and no resolution. Also the whole set up and website is not user friendly. All these words and phrases I don’t know as a regular business owner. This is not my expertise but it’s definitely way too complicated and having crappy support doesn’t help.

It mostly works despite the UI being clunky. You really need to understand Twilio on a deep level to make this work. Seems to be made for engineers. Outbound calling doesn’t work and notifications are unreliable. Noticeable lag in app. Contacts say “Unknown” until you manually refresh. Speaking of, you need to manually refresh conversations regularly and the messages appear out of order when using it to have a conversation. Be ready to force close and restart it quite a bit. Incoming calls seem to be reliable. Having said all that, I haven’t found anything else out there that lets you use twilio as replacement numbers on a mobile device, so if you’re willing to learn the unique way this app works, you can get by.

I was looking for an app that would allow me to send and receive pictures submitted via MMS messages directly from pictures taken on my iPhone. Regular SMS messages work great but sending pictures generates a 12300 error message in Twilio stating invalid content type even though I’m submitting accepted mime types. When reviewing the logs in Twilio, incoming messages show that they were delivered but the Talkyto App never shows the picture. Other than that, the app works great for SMS and I started receiving notifications on my iPhone after I updated the “Configure with other handlers” section of the Twilio phone number. After updating the “A message comes in” with the webhook that matches with the one configured in the Talkyto SMS service, I receive notifications on each received message.

You can’t delete messages, my inbound calls don’t work at all, the app could be made a lot more user friendly. I can’t believe this is the main app for twilio. This is a business line i ported over and I’m missing important business calls because this service is not letting me accept inbound calls. Support takes forever to email back
