Published by: Owen Mathews

Description

tapStory enhances picture books with creative play. Kids animate characters and read the story out loud, and then play back their performances. They can also create their own stories based on existing characters and scenery! Characters can be moved, rotated, resized and flipped using simple gestures. Audio is recorded automatically as the reader narrates. All artwork from purchased stories is available for use in custom stories, and custom stories can be animated and played back just like existing ones.

Features:
- Move, resize, rotate and flip characters and objects in the scene
- Record your voice and your actions and play them back as an animation with audio
- Play back just one scene or the entire story automatically
- Describe your recordings with text or a short video clip to save them for later
- Browse all story recordings from the Home screen and play them back at any time
- Create your own stories using art from all the stories you've purchased and then adding your own text
- Buy new stories to read and animate, and then use their illustrations in your own stories
- Buy new art packs to expand your library of items to use in your own stories
- Use an interactive tutorial to learn about the features of the app

tapStory comes with two free stories.
- Pea and Carrot: Meet Pea, who knows all about Carrot, but Carrot doesn't seem to know she exists. How can she get him to notice her? All of her vegetable friends want to help.
- Ten Birds: Learn to count with fun, feather-filled scenes.
More great stories are available for purchase within the app!

We are so back!

After 8 years of being gone, one of, if not THE best story creating app is back! However, I did notice one of the stories I bought is gone. The alphabet one is strangely not appearing, which is sad, as it’s one of my favorites purely due to the story making elements. If you could fix this, that’d be much obliged! Still a great app though!

great app, fun for kids and adults

This is a fun and creative app for kids 4 and up. Books are read or created, and objects can be resized and moved in any book. The art is nice and the two stories included for free were well done. After the few bugs are fixed it will get five stars from us

Don't get this game. It deleted one of my pages that took forever for me to work on, it had a bunch of words on it. It is good for a little while but it may not work out eventually. If you get this game and forget what I said, you will know I am right. It's a mistake. PLAIN BAD

This story app has everything I could ask for in a reading app. Beautiful illustrations, moveable parts, read a story as is, read and add your own parts to story, .play back and listen to story. Then there is the "create from scratch" story library. This app would help new readers, students who have trouble reading, children with speech problems, they can hear there own voices, and children who love to create. You could create math word problems with terrific illustrations..the list goes on and on.I hope the stories will begin to include stories and illustrations for children ages 8 thru 12..... and beyond.I taught school for 38 years and I am so excited about this app. I have a grandson with dyslexia and I see great potential to help with his learning using this app.

Awesome, very cool, and well made!

This is an amazing app. It's fun to use and entertaining in a way! I found myself enjoying using this app. It's very cool, too. Really hoping that it gets more known.

Seven year old loves it!

My daughter is practicing reading with expression and this app is a great way for her to do that. She likes reading the stories and acting them out like a puppet show. She seems to take pride in hearing her voice when we play it back. Good app!!!!
