Description

ToneBoosters Reverb is a studio-quality, professional reverberation AUv3 / IAA plug-in with an unrivalled workflow, unlimited creative use and a gorgeous, functional user interface.
With its close to a hundred adjustable parameters, the integrated LFO for parameter modulation, integrated compression and gating, and its shimmer reverb module it is by far the most flexible and configurable reverb on iOS.
The ToneBoosters Reverb app captures the microphone input and processes the signals in real time. To use it as a plug-in, use an AUv3-compatible host app such as Steinberg Cubasis, Apple Garageband, Audio Evolution Mobile Studio, Auria, AUM, or others. ToneBoosters Reverb will appear in the list of Audio Unit extensions for effect plug-ins.
Key features:
- Studio-grade reverberation including early reflections
- The same professional sound as the acclaimed desktop version
- Full control over room size, width, density, depth, mass
- Integrated spectrum analyser showing direct and reverb simultaneously
- Integrated equalizer to shape the reverberation character
- Ability to modify reverberation time across frequency
- Compression, ducking and gating for dynamic reverberation effects
- Flexible, beat-synced LFO that can modulate almost everything!
- Dual pitch-shift shimmer module for out-of-this-world reverberation
- Reverb freeze option
- Random parameter option to change the core reverb sound on the spot
- Eco mode for lower CPU load on complex projects
- Program manager with shared programs between stand-alone, IAA and AUv3 instances
- Undo/redo, and A/B comparison
- Color themes for the user interface
- Max screen support in Garageband
- Legacy Inter-App Audio (IAA) support
- Optimised for iPad and compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch
Compatibility
Please note that given the large flexibility and number of parameters that can be modified with this reverb, the use of an Apple pencil or stylus is highly recommended for smaller devices such as iPhone and iPod touch.

What you should know:
- Inter-App Audio (IAA) can only use one instance of this app simultaneously. We recommend to use an AUv3 host to use multiple instances.
- Licenses acquired for this platform are not compatible with other platforms.
- Audio Unit (AUv3) extensions require an iPad mini 2, iPad 4 or later models.

TB Reverb Reviews

Great versatile reverb

MerrrD on

Netherlands

This reverb can do it all, but I particularly love it for more ambient and shimmerlike stuff. Perfect to have a build in EQ. You can tweak it to perfectly fitt your situation. I used it on live sets as a reverb on my Nord, prefered it over the build in verbs, and on acoustic guitar.

Keeps crashing

Broek Spijkers on

Netherlands

Potentially a great app, but keeps crashing in GarageBand on my iPad from 2020. I have to restart my iPad constantly to get the AUv3 working again, which breaks up my work flow. Basically unusable now, which is disappointing for this price. In comparison, the TB EQ works flawlessly on my iPad.

Great quality for a small price

I just bought it and used it for toms so far. I'm very impressed.

Can’t stop smiling

It’s way better than I expected, Great Job.

Cutting down to two stars

Extremely negligent communication. Must buy, worth way more than what you’re paying.

Updating my review to 5 stars, to what it deserves!

Johne154 on

I previously only gave this app 3 stars, based solely on its presets. I expected the presets to present the very best this reverb has to offer and was surprised at how mild the reverb was in the presets. This reverb provides a lot of control to add some fantastic reverb to your source music. My rush to judgement was unfair. I’m back to make amends to the developer and those considering this reverb. In fact, don’t consider it, just buy it! You won’t be disappointed. So, Apple and/or ToneBoosters, you can remove/delete my previous review with my apologies.

fantastic ios verb!

bluemeanieface on

great all around verb with some more interesting deep dive settings. If you get only 4 time based filter plugins in your lifetime, get this one, shimmer from Bleass, Bleass delay and something for massive verbs like eventide blackhole or Alteza. do this and you’ll be set for nearly any basic recording and mixing situations.

Top 3 Reverbs on iOS!!!!!

btklop on

United States

We all have different tastes in reverbs, but the flexibility on this is rather unparalleled. I won’t list the competitors here; but I’ll say that you can pay a lot more and get A LOT less!!!! The BIGGEST thing to realize is how light on DSP (CPU) this is. Reverbs are hungry. Anyone use H-Reverb on PC? I use TB Reverb in a live context on a send, usually, within AUM and KeyStage. I can bypass a synth’s built in Reverbs (which can be SO heavy on CPU) and send my WHOLE RIG into one or two different reverbs. Save on CPU. Sound great. Oh… features! Multiple algorithms? Yes Internal EQ? Yes Shimmer? HOLY COW YES Stereo field adjustment (width)? Yes LFOs? Yep How about a gate? YES Swiss Army knife of reverbs at the cost of less than an actual Swiss Army knife!

Great reverb - had to restart device

jhub908 on

United States

Just purchased it thinking I’d get audio unit compatibility since it’s listed, but it doesn’t show up in my iPad Pro or iPhone 12 Pro as an AUV3 in AUM or Drambo....seems to still have a bug even though version history suggested it was gone. Sounds great but need bug fixed, then it will be 5 stars. Edit: A reboot of my device made it show up, never had that problem before with any other music apps but it works now - changed review.
