Amazing tool, simple to use
I'm using it for measuring ambient room noise for science experiments and it works great!

The overlay of named keys would be incredibly valuable if it wasn’t so fleeting. The failure to respect the paused state is incredibly frustrating and limiting
I have not yet found the perfect spectrogram app. This is one of the better ones. It is simple. The spectrogram is very clear and presented well. It shows sound and the results are intuitive to a novice. It seems to lack advanced features such as adjusting the FFT parameters. In particular, switching between linear and log would be a first feature to add. Allowing a a recording of the spectrogram would be good. Producing a spectrogram from an audio file in Voice Notes or from a file would be good. But if you’re not an engineer knowing what these features mean and you just was to see what sound looks like then this is a good choice.
when I tried this, I was deeply disappointed. for one, the quality of the spectrogram displayed was terrible. it was incredibly pixelated, and there was no setting to fix that. furthermore, it couldn't display higher frequencies. it provided absolutely no help doing anything. I strongly recommend a different spectrogram. in my opinion, spectrumview is the best. another problem with this was the unstandard color of the spectrogram. no other spectrogram uses black to brown. that's just dumb, as even the loudest sounds will appear brown, which is a fairly dark color. this app is a steaming pile of trash, the developers obviously don't know how to make a proffesional spectrogram, and have most likely never used one.
Another great tool from a solid & reliable company!!!! I love that we are finally seeing analyzers for iPad if I could make one small suggestion a spectrogram is a powerful tool but a waveform display would be a great option as a in app purchase. This would make it easier to mix on an iPad if we could see if the waveform of a master is is too squashed or too dynamic especially after long sessions when your ears become fatigued. 5 Stars.
