丰田产业技术纪念馆于1994年6月开始在名古屋市西区荣生町对外开放。纪念馆将丰田自动织机制作所荣生工厂（从丰田纺织移转）作为产业遗产原样保存下来。纤维机械是支撑近代日本发展的基干产业之一，纪念馆通过介绍纤维机械和不断开拓的现代化汽车技术的变迁，向肩负未来使命的参观者系统地介绍了日本的产业技术史。
