I don’t understand why we are forced to log in or give up an email address just to be able to track our friends and family. I know everything is about data, but you already forced me to download an unnecessary app to data harvest. Now I have to give email as well?
Great for tracking runners
I love the spectator guide. It helped me navigate NYC to see my husband at various points right about the time he passed them.
Great Spectator and Competitor App
We tracked our friends and Des as they ran the NYC Marathon last year and this year. The App was good in 2023 but even better in 2024. The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) presented interesting data about the races in general and the specific performance of our 3 runners before, during and after the races. The AI presentation was a masterpiece in my opinion, a former statistician. I sent TCS information to our friends after the race to help them to analyze their performance. Outstanding work TCS!
Thethroughout the racesstatistics of the race presented much interesting data
Couple of tries to login
I tried a couple of times to log in with my password from last year. It kept failing so I reset my password and didn’t have any problems after that. Really like ability to see exactly where friends are + all of their race stats live.
Awful GPS Tracking
Title says it all. GPS tracking on this app is awful. Runners were ahead of where they were on the app than in real life.
Very supportive App for tracking marathon progress
This APP was very helpful and easy to navigate
Doesn’t seem to work
I was a participant in the race and was tracking many friends. Whenever I tried to look up information for any runner it says the participant has not started yet (even though that’s not true). Several friends said they weren’t able to track me on the app either. Not sure what went wrong, but the app seemed to malfunction with tracking! It won’t show runner photos or stats either.
App repeatedly lost function on race day
App repeatedly lost function on race day. Splits and graphs didn’t display for tracked runners on race day (although some push notifications did arrive).
Suggested Improvements
1. Allow user to search by City (in addition to name or bib number).
2. When tracking multiple runners, when instructing the app to move a runner to the top of list, shift all other tracked runners down one position. Currently the app simply swaps the selected runner with the one at the top of list.
3. Project a runner’s finishing time based on most recent 5K split instead of using the overall average pace.
Thank you.
Map function
I would recommend showing the location you are in on the map function.
