TeamLinkt - Sports Team App

From full screen ads that you can’t close or skip, to notification badges that don’t go away after reading the chat, to constant non-responsiveness requiring me to kill the app, TeamLinkt leaves a lot to be desired. I will stick to Team Snap.

The free version has full screen advertising videos that you cannot skip or close. Interface becomes unresponsive to touch between uses and requires the killing of the app.

Can’t even open the app crashes immediately.

I’ll preface this with saying we are forced to use this app as our MHA uses it for scheduling. The last two years (2022 & 2023) this app has been terrible. The second main function of this app is game updates. For two years now, the app will randomly reset the score to a set point in history. Annoying. I have emailed tech support, been told “okay, we have pushed an update, hopefully it works” only to continue having the issue. I’m not the only person this happens for. As of late, since before Christmas 2023, the app now freezes in the “Update” area when you’re doing game updates. So, we can send text updates of the game but when we go to change the score or set the time for a new period, it’s locked and you have to close the app to do it again. I would rather be enjoying the game than constantly closing the app and reopening it. Finally, the amount of ads that are rammed down our throat is abhorrent. And I’m not going to pay a fee to remove the ads of an app that I’m forced to use. Youth sports cost enough and it’s disgusting that they’re asking for the ads to be paid for to be removed. Considering they are already making a percentage of every registration paid for via cc, I think it’s doubly disgusting. Would much prefer TeamSnap.

Even though I enter my valid email address, the app keeps returning an error asking to enter a valid email when I try to create my account.

This is a really good app for teams. Only issue is the notification on the app button. It's always stuck on (1) even when there are no new notifications.

Used the app for our slo pitch league and it was awful. Filled with ads and horrible ux/ui.

Information on the app does not always match information on the website. For example, in one place it says we can pay by credit card, EMT, or bring in a check or cash or mail in. But the app only allows payment by credit card. And furthermore does not say if the credit card information is stored or deleted after the transaction. Can’t find a privacy policy in the app or on the website, members are required to allow publication of photos in order to be a member but no statement if children’s names are published or not, no opt-out option for photos. Makes me wonder how securely they treat our data. Without the option of registering with a live person, it feels very uncomfortable that this online method is the only way for our children to participate in the school activity.
