TechPort Reviews

And now plagued by paid sources

GraPhXLight on

Most of the best tech news one can get through your app come from The Verge and Wired… now with The Verge under a new subscription scheme (or racket), I’m pretty much locked out from tech news. Please consider adding a very helpful option on your app the add or suppress sources; a place where one could turn off Wired and The Verge, and keep the free services on, for starters.

Great App!

I would like to see all the channels in a single feed. I’m not sure if that is possible. Also how does the Feeds portion work? I don’t see an option to add sources to feeds. Overall the app is awesome. Very happy with all the sources of tech news that are available in a single place. The app has dark mode and reader mode as well. A single in that purchase removes ads. I’d be willing to pay for more features.

Not very customizable, articles require subscriptions

Feed fills with articles that require a subscription, and cannot remove them from the feed (Wired for example).

One of the few apps I still love

Thank you to the creators for not exploiting the app with a bunch of ads

Not bad

Cant find any way to remove feeds and that leaves a lot of junk in there that only gives you a headline while putting the rest behind a paywall.

ADS keep appearing after purchase.

Every time the developer updates the app the adds reappear. This is totally unacceptable and should be fixed. I shouldn’t have to restore my purchase constantly. My guess is this breaks App Store rules and so I will be reporting them.

Great App but get ads after purchase

moneyfolder on

United States

This is a great looking app with all the big tech sites. My only issue is even after I purchased the app to remove ads, I still see ads if left open on the background. The only way to remove ads again is to kill the app and re launch it.

Best App ever..

Too many news source and I cannot customize it myself.

Fraud ad pop up

The ads have been getting worse in this app, more frequent. Today the app passed along a fraudulent ‘you phone has been compromised ad.’ Yep delete.
