It wouldn’t record sound or record

duh. teat this THING before sending it out. does NOT work. DUH.

This is great and I love it it’s really simple to use! I do have two problems though... The first one is today I was using it and for some reason it just wasn’t working! I tried to fix it but it still wouldn’t record. It would just stop before it even finished counting down how do I fix this? My second issue is something I’m not sure can be fixed and I’m fine with it just can be annoying. When I’m recording with little space left sometimes it will just stop and not save. I understand why it stops but it’s really annoying when it doesn’t save because I have to do it all over again. I was wondering if you could make it how it save just when it stops? Like a automatic stop when you run out of space for anymore? I’m not sure if this can be fixed though.

I love how the app records and all, but when I recorded a song with the microphone on it sounded choppy, and you couldn’t hear anything except a choppy noise. And I’m disappointed because it doesn’t need an update , and it has been like this for ever since I got it. I thought at first it was the background noise but recently when I do it it’s quite. Please do look into why this is happening. But other then that glitch it’s a amazing app. Or sometimes when I record, IT DOESNT EVEN RECORD THE SOUND AT ALL!

TechSmith has been my absolute go-to for the last 20+ years, helping me with all facets of communication. I can’t imagine trying to manage the many screen captures, walk-throughs, training manuals, and just general “here’s how to” that I do every day. Being able to quickly locate past screen captures through their incredible library has keep things organized for years. Thank you!!!

First one I downloaded this app the recordings weren’t working, but when I downloaded it a second time it worked just next time work on the sound. 4 stars.

Yo tooo sweet

The reason this review is 2 stars rather than 1 is because it does what it intends to do. You can record the screen on your i-Device. It is simple to run and simple to stop (for those saying it cannot be stopped look in the upper right corner and click on the red record notification, on the iPhone it’s in the camera groove). It is also simple to delete and share. Great job! However, the sound issue is absurd. In order to record system sounds, we need to be off any headset and turn the external mic on. It’s like when we were adjusting antenna TV—had to be standing in the right spot at the right angle for the moment and it could change. In other words it feels like we have to go out of our way to make the app work how the devs advertise it should. Sometimes we are working in a noisy environment (think starbuck’s) and we cannot have the external mic picking up sound as we also record the presenter or system audio. Yeah, they are two separate tracks and we could potentially edit it out, but again, we are doing the work for you to make sure it works as you advertise it. Same situation, in a public place taking a meeting…we are not able to be off headsets. If this is a problem with apple architecture fine, then be up front about it from the beginning. If it’s a known issue state it in the app description and your support page instead of making us go through the time researching online for a solution that does not come up quickly in the searches. If we have to work to make your app work as expected, then the app is still a work in progress. TechSmith I have Camtasia and renew my subscription to SnagIt almost yearly. I would expect a screen recording solution that works efficiently.

Techsmith is a unicorn of software companies. Their products just work, documentation is clear and concise. Update after update, their products still work as advertised, adding enhancements and not "new issues". IOS Capture is no different. Great job TechSmith.
