TenantCloud FAQ
Is TenantCloud free?
Yes, TenantCloud is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is TenantCloud legit?
🤔 The TenantCloud app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
This has to be the WORST and I mean the worst app and customer service I’ve ever experienced. Trying to get an understanding on anything is pointless cause they don’t answer ANY of your questions and make it an inconvenience to get things accomplished.
Can not read messages
I will get a message on my phone to say the Tennant Cloud has a new message. But when I go into the app, there is no messages
You pay us for us to do nothing
It is absurd that it is the tenants job to pay for a background check. We do not endure the burden of owning a property to rent to someone, thus if you want to make money through renting/operate a business and are taking a risk, it is your task to make sure it is a calculated risk. Skum of the earth this app.
This is a great app to pay your rent
If you want to pay your rent on the platform, this is a great app to pay your monthly rent and also tell the realtor that you need a maintenance to come by and fix your rental house or apartment
Opportunity for improvement
Customer Service has the opportunity for improvement in terms of follow up and clear communication.
A few things
1. I just wanted to thank Leah for her patience today 8/1/24 during my frantic call about a recent transaction. She is truly a 5-star customer service employee and I’m so sorry for raising my voice.
2. The only reason I am giving 4 stars to this review is because of what led to my issue today. A previous review mentioned this being a UX problem and I agree. Today, I was being defaulted to pay with Apple Pay when I have only ever paid with my linked bank account. Without thinking too much about it, I assumed it would deduct the money like it normally would since it promoted me to use Apple Pay and I was unaware there would be an additional fee quite literally as large as my cell phone/ WiFi bill to process the transaction. If there was a mention of this somewhere I completely missed it. Regardless, it was very shocking for me to see the additional amount being deducted on top of my rent payment.
3. On a side note, the general UI of the app is intuitive and easy to navigate. It has everything a user needs and nothing more to clutter the view. Good job.
Terrible
My bank account has been frozen, as well as removed, without any communication. I paid one month, the next my info is gone. I can’t add the account back because it says it’s already attached but, my account information isn’t anywhere to be seen. Now I’m in a message battle with my landlord because they have to release my bank account through Stripe and won’t for some reason. Before the updated version everything was fine. This has new one though, ridiculous.
Payments
I think it’s great that you can make any payments to the monthly bill like splitting payments up before the rent is actually due. I love this app as well as the realator!
Surprise: Apple Pay Fees Apply Despite App Shows Otherwise
I paid rent, and I think the app misleads users regarding the applicable Apple Pay fees. Its UX is inconsistent as follows:
For wire transfers, $0.50 per transaction is added. However, the app displays NO fees when selecting Apple Pay. The credit card issuer informed me post-payment about significant transaction fees. It surprised me because I expected the Tenant Cloud app to tell me BEFORE initiating the payment, as it does with wire transfers fees.
Auto pay
They purposely make it where you cannot easily switch to “auto-pay” so you get extra small fees every month when you pay rent. I’ve brought it to their attention multiple times. Many updates and it’s still not fixed.
