When I first got the app it was great and then it started reading a million miles an hour and it is not audible at all. Which is frustrating especially since I paid for the app. I am a working mom who has gone back to school and with my dyslexia and ADD I thought this app was what I was needing. I can deal with the robotic voice, I just am disappointed that it is not working. Please fix the problem!
i hate the new update
i love this app so much at least i did i updated it today i’ve noticed a few things.
1. it will pause randomly instead of a constant flow like it used to do
2. skip parts
3. over all less enjoyable to listen to mostly just makes me extremely annoyed.
i use this app to listen to books as i work have been for well over a year now. i can’t anymore with this new update please fix it. i like the old version more.
none
I tried to play a pdf file and the app was glitching. It would repeat phrases 2 or 3 times. Then skip over whole sentences. And the text that was highlighted was at least 2 or 3 paragraphs ahead of what it was saying
Fantastic App- Would have given 5 stars, but for a couple features
First things first: GET THIS APP AND JUST GO AHEAD AND GET PREMIUM. So I am someone w/ depression & ADHD to a point where I have a type of dyslexia and basically can hardly read anymore. I realized I needed something like podcasts to get my reading in & found speechify originally. It helped massively so I finally knew what I needed to do. I wasn’t just looking for speechify in particular & when I found that app it was just one of the MANY of these apps I downloaded to try and I’m glad I did that bc I found this app. I actually like it way better then speechify and am so glad to have found it! I highly recommend it. In fact, I’ve already recommended it to a few people including my therapist! This app will prove to be the best $10.99 a year investment I make every single year. I can already tell it’s going to change my life as after just a week it’s led to significant progress in my Master’s studies. Now, the reasons I subtracted a star: 1. Needs the ability to play in the background. That’s a crucial feature that is needed. 2. I wish, like other apps, it’d keep the uploaded file in the same format and function highlighting across those pages. I’ve had that feature in many of the other apps I tried, even the free ones. 3. More flexible speed variability options. If I wanted to be nitpicky: I’d love more voice options, but there are 3 very good, usable options & the one I use is great (the one I use is the closest to apps like Peech & Speechify which do have some great voices for readers, but tbf those have been around longer, are much larger/more mainstream, & needlessly WAY more expensive while still being limited usage-which is ridiculous, so this is a lesser just a want sort of thing, but if you don’t put it out there it’ll never happen if it can happen. Again. Get it. You won’t regret it.
🥳 5stars
The most important thing I can tell you is that this app flawlessly converts any text into spoken words, regardless of the language. Congratulations to its developers.
5/5
This is my favorite app for reading aloud while I follow the text along, so its automatic scrolling feature is genius and that's why I wouldn't change this app.
Cancel
I have been trying to cancel this and it keeps billing me! The support button also does not work in the app. I am not happy and want to be refunded!
Am I able to change who is speaking ?
Is there a way to change the voice of the AI?
Voices sound like computers
Voices are very poor and sound super synthetic. Maybe not a problem if you don’t care about this but if you’re looking for a realistic, Sandy voices, this is not the way to go.
Don’t Get It
I had gotten the app since it was very good at the beginning but as I was using it-it became very glitchy and would only read for a few seconds and stop. Or would start reading the same thing over again.
