Text to Speech - Speaky

I have wanted something right read my articles while driving. This is a great app so I can pay attention to the road. Would love to see other voices

I have ebooks and pfds on another app that I would like to have Speaky read for me some times when I am too busy to sit down and read but it can’t access them.

I found out about this app years ago at a teacher training workshop for students with learning disabilities. For myself I have found this app to be a huge help. Although the accessibility functions of Siri allow me to read an article, it’s often frustrating as there are the descriptions of the pictures, what’s on the page etc. With this app, it just pulls out the information which is unbelievably helpful. In the morning, I open my newspaper subscriptions download all the articles I want to Speaky and then I simply listen to them throughout the day. My own child has dyslexia and it has been a huge help. It’s not just for people with learning disabilities it’s also great for people like me who are super busy but want to stay informed on what is happening in the world.

I read the reviews and excited to listen articles... had high hopes... When i put in URL or pdf files, it glitches out and wont stop reading nor does it read correctly in english (switches to different language). It crashes often... and I am frustrated with the app. I would love a refund.... please and thank you.

I have been using this app for some time. It is excellently constructed, with a logical and intuitive interface. Are used to listen to things they just want to read, but also for capturing articles for research. The app allows you to edit down these captured articles before sharing or listening. Flash carding in the app is great for teaching.

Work very good with my iPod. 👏 Good job. I am french, dyslexia and very happy to find Speaky, app like this help us alot. Can I ask you juste a little thing... It is possible to have choice for read the explanation like "How to use Speaky..." in the language we want ( it's only in english ), please ? Or maybe put a translation mode? Tank you very mush and I wish you make more apps like Speaky, and help people with handicap👍

This app is very good! It makes documents accessible for those that have difficulty reading or time constraints. What a find!
